What a tough, tough loss. Oh well, either the Sharks are meant to be or they aren't. If they can are gonna be Cup contenders, these are things that they'll have to overcome.

Give Detroit credit, they deserved the W.

Go Sharks Go!

Thorton looks like a bucket of nerves in his interview right now. He needs a pound Paxil it appears.

The core of this team just are not winners. It has been proven over and over again. If they lose Game 7, I am willing to see a couple bad seasons to overhaul this team. Great regular seasons are just not enough. I know I am spoiled, but for God's sake I want at a minimum a Stanley Cup Final appearance just once.

Keep your heads up boys. Nothing we can do except cheer our team on. Its not the evening I envisioned, but we'll just have to hope next game is the perfect storm.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go kick the neighbors dog. ;)

Good game Wings fans, your boys deserved it by a wide margin.

The series ain't over yet guys. But if the Sharks lose PM's career in San Jose is.

Not very proud of the end of that game either - that pile up at the DET net is not showing a lot of class. That is NOT what is meant by showing emotion and heart...

That energy should've been used much earlier in the game when they were sluggish and lethargic. Not ready to give up just yet, even though the frustration is grinding badly. They can still get it done in Game 7, even though it looks bleak after three losses. Tear them apart if they lay an egg and blow Game 7 in front of the home crowd. They will fully deserve it then.

Maybe some teams are just meant to have a more torturous and difficult path to the Cup than others.

I'd bounce up there and join you for some Smithwicks and Boddingtons - but I have to travel through the week and wouldn't make it in time. I hope you guys see a good game...

i am tempted but i would rather suffer alone, plus i might just very well start punching any Wings fan i see if we lose!

(and the only game i have watched outside of home this series was last one which i think was the turning point...so i am going to be superstitious and stay indoors!)

p.s. if we make it past the Wings, i will definitely come watch a game...that is my little shred of positivity at this point.

Dear Vancouver,

Can we borrow Ryan Kesler for game 7?

We promise to let you win game 1.

Thanks,

San Jose Sharks

Never used his speed, not physical, missed the net. But you can't blame Marleau for this one only, this was a team wide stinker. They did not deserve to win playing like that. Overall effort was an F-.

yep. Other than nemo, that was a team stinkfest. Not a single skater was good.

Obviously the magnifying glass remains on patty because of past games, but everyone stunk. Logan was a hero for 5 mins after he scored until he turned the puck over and then misplayed the coverage on the GWG. They deserved to lose and almost got super lucky, but simply put, the team is just full of chokers as its top 3 forwards and 40% of its salary.

Jumbo has been playing much much better this PO's, but he still has just 2 goals in 12 games. Heater has also been much better this PO's than last year, but he has just 3 goals. And, of course patty's loserness is pretty self evident. Those 3 guys are the key to the PP, which is incredibly bad and has been every year in the PO's.

They have 1 game left to save their reputations from being etched in history, and patty has 1 game left to save himself from a full summer of well-deserved trade calls and anger geared toward him. If they lose thursday, it wont matter how, marleau will be blamed for the end of the season without a doubt.

Doesnt get more dramatic than this (at least in the 2nd round)

One of the goals was on Heatler for sure... the one where he leisurely skated back and his man scored... the 2-1 goal, I think?

Couture's turnover was horribad, but also McGinn's wannabe baseball swing on the puck, not getting it deep enough, and the Sharks line change being in disarray leading to the 1st goal for Detroit. All in all, a horrible team effort by the Sharkies.

Have a good night gents.

yeah, I saw that one. Although, it was a 3-on-3 and heater was the 4th man coming back so he was supposed to protect the trailer (as not done on goal 1). As such, that was more on cooch and (cant remember the Dman) taking the same guy making a 3 on 3 into a 3 on 2.

It was just bad all around. Gotta let it go and just come out with heart and effort. Most importantly... POISE. Panicking is what the sharks do late in games recently, and they have to fix that.
