blow me. I am not making a bet for 6 months from now without having no clue what the circumstances will look like

When the Cavs make the Finals- if they Love, LEBron and Kyrie are all playing at least mostly healthy i will without a doubt- but making a FINALS bet in January? yah...thats beyond stupid.

if you would like a Cavs/Heat grudge match bet? yah i would do that with y a though- no problem- if they meet in the playoffs....heres hoping miami keeps its playoff spot in a improved Eastern Conference.

Then how about sparing us your nightly editorials when the Cavs win?

It obviously means nothing during the regular season and nobody here gives a flying fuck if you are willing to bet on the greatness of your roster.
Maybe preface the bet that James has to be playing because as we saw last year you can pretty much mix and match the rest of the roster.

I think we saw the exact opposite

I thought we saw performances that were in some ways - way over-the-head of guys like Mozgov who had 30 points in a game, in Thompson, in Delly who had a couple really good defensive performances against Curry until he was just literally sent to the hospital for exhaustion. -we saw that as good as Jr sMith was in the Atlanta series- there is a reason he is your 5th or 6th guy and not your 2 or 3.

the Cavs can get to the Finals without a full team- we saw that last year.

I think they could possibly win if they are missing just Love or Irving in a Finals series- but no chance they are beating the Spurs or GSW without both. With all 3- I will bet on them all day. to be honest- Irving is probably more important than Love. Kyrie is just so freaking good.

There were always role players involved and producing when the Heat won.
It takes a team.
Look no further then who was Finals MVP last year
I do agree Kyrie being good is far more important then Love.

thats wild though...i didnt expect JR Smith to be 20th in NBA history in 3 pointers made- and 1st in the EAstern Conference since he was dealt to the Cavs...thats pretty cool.

Its definitely good to have a guy like that find the right situation with the right leadership and thrive. Whoever thought this guy would be a cancer with LeBron James in charge of the locker room just has not been paying attention for the last half decade.

In other words, despite all of your claims to the contrary, you do believe that Kyrie is injury prone.

I've NEVER seen someone blow their team so much as much as you do. Do you really have to post a different article saying how good the Cavs are every single time they win? We get it dude. They're contenders. You don't have to keep posting this shit to make yourself believe they're God's gift to basketball. Please. Enough.

Heat play 12 of the next 14 on the road- teams that include Golden State, LA Clips, OKC, Toronto, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Washington- and then follow that up with 2 home games against the Clippers and Spurs. They are currently 22-15 and 5th in the East.

TURNUP- here ill make a small bet with you if you would like.

After that stretch of games which ends a month from now- the Heat WILL NOT BE IN PLAYOFF POSITION IN THE EASTERN CONFERENCE.

Winner gets to choose the others avatar for a week. IF the Heat are in 8th or better after those road games and that 2 game home stand- (which ends February 9th- a MONTH from now), you win.

If the Heat are in 9th or worse on February 9 after the days games- I win.

Deal?

Its bad but not as bad as you make it seems. A lot of those teams are performing below expectations this year. The only games that really scares me on that list is Warriors, OKC, TOR, CHI, and SAS.

Heat been performing decent on the road and when you perform well consistently on defense, you're almost always in games. The Heat will be fine.

Heat should be able to get through that at around .500, maybe a couple of games better.

@WiggyRuss I'll accept the bet just because.
The Heat could easily fall below 8, but whatever,
It's an avi bet. No biggie.

Now step up and take the Cavs championship bet.

It is brutal, but then it gets favorable as usual, towards the end of the season.
Like I said in the Heat game thread last night, you can take 2/3 of the East, mix and match and they will knock each other off. There's just a ton of parity.
It will boil down to health as far as prob the bottom 4-5 seeds in the East.
You can pencil in Cavs, Bull, Raptors IMO.

This stretch will let Riley see exactly what he has from the top down and then he can start deciding what he hopes to do or not do before the trade deadline.

That's what I'm thinking. The West being weaker than normal this year really helps IMO and also playing teams who are not living up to expectations such as Milwaukee and Washington as well
