I love the hypocrisy here... Downplay seattles win yeaterday because the cards "didnt care", and play up the rams win over Seattle even though Seattle stamped their play-off ticket the week before and were locked in as a wc...

I disagree the Rams are underrated. They just have a serious matchup advantage against Seattle (interior DL vs interior OL) that allows them to play better against us than pretty much anyone else and neutralizes a lot of what we can do on offense that doesn't happen when we are playing virtually any other opponent. But before a week ago, the Rams hadn't won in Seattle since 2004. They've also had losing season after losing season. They are just able to play better against Seattle than what their overall talent level indicates they should. Matchups.

They may not have won in Seattle much but they've done OK at home against us. They always play us tough and Fischer always has some messed up gadget play that works to perfection against us.

In division games are always tougher but still the Rams were not that good. My 49ers even beat them a week after they beat you guys. My team sucks. At least we fired Tomsula. Thank god. Thats already 1 step headed in the right direction.

They always play tough against the NFCW. Against the niners they split the series. They won one in a blowout and your game yesterday went to OT. They also took Minnesota to OT this year in Minny. I'm not saying they are a good team, just that they are tougher than people think.

Oh, I agree: they are a pain in the ass, particularly to us because of how good they are up front with their 4 first rounders on the DL. It plays right against our biggest weakness, and it derails nearly our entire gameplan almost every time.

You're a bulls fan. Why are they paying this guy?

The players are all professionals, right?

It doesn't matter if they have a psychologist is on staff. Thats to help them off the court and other problems. Losing the last game of year won't be brought up in those talks. Losing confidence because of 1 game won't matter. In all sports there is an mental part of the game but losing a pointless game won't affect a player or a team. Just like losing to the Rams didn't affect them this week. Every game is different.

Doesn't matter, bottom line is, Wilson still has his job and Pettine don't...So he must be a better qb than Pettine was a HC......
Seattle is off to the playoffs for 4 straight and Pettine is off to the unemployment line after his 2 straight debacles.....
I can see where he is such an authority on qb's......

Congrats Hawks fans !!!!!:yo:

Oh for crissakes. Now you're just pulling stuff out of yer *ss. What most of these guys do is visualization exercises designed to effect their on the court/field games.

And yes, every game is different. I've already noted that you COULD be right, and momentum could mean nothing in this case.

You refuse to see that it just as easily COULD mean something too.

So, just repeat exactly what you've said 10 times already.

Russell Wilson stats this season despite a rough start: 68.1%, 4024 yards, 34 TDs, 8 INTs(That's over 4 to 1 ratio) 110.1 QB rating. Highest rated QB in the league. Hate to break it to you haters, but Russell Wilson is the best QB in the league. There's really no way to argue against this now. Unless if you want to argue for Cam Newton which I know none of you want to, so it's time to face the facts.

25 TDs and 2 INTs over the last 8 games. 50 and 4 pace for a full season....The league is fucked for the next 8 years. :L

I'm not going to jinx him by going that far. But the scary part for the rest of the league is he's only been in the league for 4 years. So he's still going to get better, barring injury.

There's no way to improve off of that kind of run. I mean damn. Him and Baldwin look like they're playing Madden out there.

Well sure, he won't play at that streaky level forever. But he IS going to get better at recognition and responding to blitzes etc. Which is scary for opponents.

I haven't watched college ball for forever, so I didn't know squat about Wilson when he was drafted. But from the pre-season of his first year, to me, I saw something potentially special about him. I got to watch Flutie play here for a couple of years. He had that nebulous 'it' too, at least at the CFL level.

Yes. The it factor is off the charts with Wilson. In college, he was always making magic happen. I was sad to see him leave the ACC to transfer to Wisconsin, but still followed him. He's from my hometown, so I definitely have a soft spot for him. And I'll tell his story for generations to come.

Here's a list of players to throw for 4,000+ yards, 30+ TDs, and rush for 500+ yards in NFL history:

1. Russell Wilson

He had a crazy awesome 2nd half of the season. It is directly related, in my opinion, to the huge improvement made by his OL in pass protection.

But as much as I would love to agree, I can't say he's the best QB in the league. I still think, despite how he's looked, Rodgers is the best and Brady still above Wilson. There's a good argument for puttting Rapistburger in teh top 3 over RW as well.

Now if Wilson takes this team to a 3rd straight SB, the argument gets stronger. And if he wins it to cap off a string of strong playoff performances, it's even better.

I have just one last thing to say about this:

118.6 was his rating in the pocket. That's the highest # over the last 3 seasons. So can the uninformed box score following people who don't actually watch the game drop the whole "he's too short to throw in the pocket" line of bs. You ever heard of an o-lineman not being drafted because he's just too big and tall to see over?
