Maybe. Pretty clearly Cam Newton took his property without permission.
Is this different than Cam doing his stupid superman or first down pose in an opponent's stadium? Cam is the biggest mental midget for a quality QB I've seen. Not sure I dislike any other player more?Idiot? On this issue...I don't blame him...that's his home field. If I were Cam, I'd stroke a check for the guy's sign any day of the week.
And you actually thing it will go anywhere?
He'll lose if he does.
Why? He stole property that had tangible value.
If it wasn't Cam Newton but some random employee or fan, would you say the same thing?
Now that's funny. You make it sound like the hoop is full of Panther hate threads. Hint your team isn't that good nor have they been dominant over a long time. Continued winning brings out the haters.Love these Panther hate threads. C'mon guize .................. deal wit it ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Thanks for proving what I'm saying Mr intentionally contrarian.
I'm not contrarian. I STARTED this thread.
Criminal law doesn't have a lot of wiggle room. Either he broke the law or he didn't. Not sure what is unclear about that.
He won't win a civil suit beyond replacing the banner but the team already said they would do that.
Just a typical Sunday at Lincoln Financial. That's Cam's house, bitch. You want to put a sign up do it at your house. Next time that fan tries it he should be gutted and his carcass thrown over the rail.
Nothing will come of it. It's a loser of a case. And what you think really doesn't matter.
Oh by the way, the team and it's staff have the right, as reserved, to remove all banners.

Nothing will likely come of it because the team will come to some agreement with the guy. That doesn't change the fact that legally Cam could be charged will several criminal charges and could be convicted.
Yeah ok. Good luck with that argument.
No luck needed. It's a fact. Maybe you should try reading a ticket sometime.
Teams remove banners all the time. He will get something of a token from the team to keep him happy and assure good press, but in the end they did nothing wrong, even if it was a bit childish.
When you enter the stadium you are under their rules.
But please, continue with the intentional contrarian position like you always do.
I wasn't aware that Cam Newton was part of the security staff. Good to know.
I wasn't aware that the rules stated that security can run by and take your property and not return it. Good to know.
You still don't understand what contrarian means.
You still don't understand that in order for this guy to make his case he will have to show that Cam is not an employee of the Carolina Panthers.
You still don't understand that the team can remove it if it's in violation of the rules. You don't have a right to be there and under the restrictions put forth by the owner of the stadium.
You're a hipster dufus. There, is that better?
