Hopefully after 8 games. We need him to start 8 so the Rams can get a 2nd rounder. Not that we'd know what to do with a 2nd rounder - we'd probably reach for a guy no one would even want until the 4th round. :L

BTW - the Rams won a few games with Bradford sucking, but we needed a ST's TD and good defense to do it. If Sproles goes down for you all, it's gonna get real ugly.

I do find it funny when I read posts about Bradford being RUSTY.

Nah he's pretty much sucked for about 6 years now. He may look a little better against not so good defenses, but to good ones.. He's gonna look like a girl.

And he will get better as time goes on. He will learn to anticipate and where the ball needs to be. He is a very accurate QB that is rusty. Arm strength is not a problem for Bradford. He has plenty of arm. I agree he needs to play better and I think he will. I just don't think it is time to go out on the ledge and threaten to jump.

That is a fair point. The issue with Bradford is not physical. He is more than capable of throwing every pass and doing so accurately.

The issue with Bradford is really whether he has the mental makeup to be a great QB? Unfortunately, the evidence so far suggests he does not.

Troll alert...

It has not even been 6 years before he was drafted. Math must not be fundamental in the STL.

Right now you are correct but I am willing to give it time. The reason for this is because of his preseason performance. It shows he has the ability but he has to work out the cobwebs. I am sure his knee is on his mind a lot. He is not completely sure it will not give out on him. Look at the link's Igg added...I think the fundamentals are there but he is pulling back some. On the first vid I don't think that is a bad throw. The throw was made before the break. If you look at the receiver right after the incompletion it was obvious he was looking for a penalty. The other two everything looked ok fundamentally but was just inaccurate. That is fixable for an accurate QB.

This will be year 6 for Sam. Sorry - I must have jumped to conclusions. "He will turn it around" :thumb:

Not hard to do math when it's 14 for 28 and 180 yards, Zero TDs. I have watched that mess of Bust QB long enough to know what he is. A bust. Wuss. And...

Funny that many of us Rams fans have called the guy a Deer in headlights for years. We just need 8 starts this year!! Go Chip!

Why did Chip Kelly trade Nick Foles for a deer in headlights?

I am not disputing that Bradford is not playing well. I actually agree with the deer in headlights analogy. I just think a lot of it has to do with other factors. He has the ability and even the Rams thought so. He was traded because he would not take a pay cut not because he could not play. With that said he has to improve each week and so far he has not done that. I think he actually is looking a little more comfortable but he is still missing throws he should make.

3+ games of rust on a 5 year vet under 30 years old? Wow.

I think other QBs have sat out longer and done better sooner: Cunningham, Maddox immediately come to mind.

That seems to go unnoticed by people here. If a QB dons an Eagles uniform they need to perform as if they are the best in the NFL. No excuses.
Stop it. We're not talking about a rookie. We're not talking about Tone from the Barbershop that was pulled out of the stands and asked to start. We're talking about a Heisman winning #1 overall draft pick with experience.

Forgive us for expecting a ball to be thrown beyond the Pennington Zone.

That's a lot of excuses, PG. None of them are very good.

BTW where are you getting that he's an accurate QB? His career completion % (58%) is worse than McNabbs.

well that don't sound good.

At best its rust but the article said these observation/complaints we have are the same one's the Rams had and tried to change their O for him.

Yeah, it seems this week we took a simple offense and made the reads even simpler for the guy. Still, this was the league's best defense coming in, and to not go deep against Revis and Cromartie is arguably more smart than bad.

up 24-0 you could afford to take a shot or 2 downfield. We didn't.

First it is they, not "we". And do you really think you want to throw in Darrell Revis's direction with a 24-0 lead? Beyond laughable. We have a lead so lets risk an INT?

The Eagles game plan with the lead was arguably ultra conservative and contributed greatly to Bradford's poor statistics. But to Kelly's credit, it worked.

Chip's tempo-based smoke and mirrors can't hide the fact that we have mediocre receivers and a mediocre QB. When you've rolled out Miles Austin, Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor, defenses are not exactly quaking in their boots. We don't even try to throw deep, it is all shorter stuff.

So where does this "all world" come from? And what coach doesn't slow it down and take less risks with a big lead? That said, the Eagles have shown time and time again that protecting a lead is not there strongest suit. When their advantage and focus is in out tempo-ing the opposition, they don't play to their strength by slowing the game down.

The Patriots seem to take a different approach and just keep doing what it working. Perhaps as these guys get more comfortable we will that happen.

Put me in coach! I'm the Ricky Martin of Qbs! I can't possibly look bad compared to Bradford!

I've never met anyone like you who took the time to craft an excuse for every.single.thing.ever. What i can't tell is if you actually believe this horsehockey or are you trolling? Some days i can tell, some days i can't.

But it's nothing if it's not entertaining.

Sam has been afraid since day 1. And Pardon me if i'm interrupting.. He's never wanted to go down field. He's slow on his progressions, doesn't really take over a huddle at all, doesn't communicate with WRs even on the sideline, won't ever pull the trigger downfield, and is scared to death of a pass rush.

The guy has never "had it". He ran a Big 12 spread O. Came to the NFL and made NO ONE around him better.

He was literally named "Captain Checkdown" as a Ram.

If you read every sentence, you will find that I was agreeing with you part of the time and not at others. I think Sam Bradford sucks as a QB at this point and the Eagles suck when they try to slow it down to protect a lead. That said, when you have a QB that sucks, it does make sense to try to slow it down as the last thing you really want to do at that point is throw it at Revis as you suggested.
