Good thing they already signed Sherman, Thomas, Kam, KJ Wright, and Beast Mode to long term deals then. Bobby Wagner on the way to getting done too.
next year they will have to cut some. they will be way over the cap. (im not 100% sure on this but ESPn was talking about this.) Some big names will get cut next year on this team.

I said it all off season. I bumped my message about 3 times in the (he turned down 21 mil thread) I told you it would get done right before camp. I called yesterday at 3pm.... I was only about 18 hours off.

Cue the "Seahawks are done" posts.... Im sure they will also be "RW is an idiot" posts too.....

all is well in seahawks land.

im right there with ya buddy

his averages are 16-26 for 200 yards and a TD

people scream "but look at the 900 yards rushing!!!"

then forget to look at vick, vounce young, etc...

legs are a nice secondary tool, but they eventually fail you...then you have to be an actual QB.

Hey Rock. Is Tom Brady considered a "top level passer"? Of course he is.
What did Brady's stats like like after 3 season? Are they similar to RW's?

RW has come in and has around a 100 QB rating over his first 3 seasons.

In the 4 years before RW got to Seattle, they were a bottom 10 offense every single season. With him there, they have been a top 10 scoring offense all 3 seasons. And in the meantime they did NOTHING to improve that offense that entire time (they tried a couple times but went after the wrong players that never ended up contributing much) other than just Wilson until this year with the Graham trade.

For Seattle that is the great thing about them being capped out and not having a ton of cap space to go out and get impact offensive players: They already have a top 10 scoring offense without them. Even with just the draft and no more FA moves, they are likely to have a more talented offense around Wilson than they have had the last 3 years.
u do know they had one of the best running games and because of their great D they had one of the best field position in the NFL. That helps big time for a QB.

Yeah lets see what happens when u cant sign anyone and you will have to rely on him to win games. remember D and running game got you guys where you are. He was a good game manager except for he playoffs this year with his turnovers.

Um can't sign anyone? Like Sherman, Thomas, Chancellor, Bennett, Avril, Wright, Lynch, Graham, Soon to be Wagner?

brady is a 6'5 pocket passer. he was in college. he is in the NFL.

wilson is a 5'10" runner who isnt asked to do much other than hand off to skittles. im not belittling him, thats exactly what he is and what hes asked to do.

i like wilson, i was big on him at wisconsin (no pun intended)...but he isnt a prototypical QB. he needs a system to fit his size and skills.

that system is seattles.

OMG he is trying to compare Tom Brady to RW. This is getting ugly for seattle fans. Please other seattle fans stop this guy before he destroys your fan base.

u do know some of them will get cut next year. U are way over the cap(reporting by ESPN).

This year is ok because its an extension. I don't think it gets kicked in until next year. Next year you will see the after math of this signing.

Link? The core I mentioned isn't going anywhere. Brandon MEbane is up next year, as is Russell Okung. But the core is locked up for years!!!

no link watching ESPN on the East coast.

I 100% guarantee that they lose some of the guys you mention. Its impossible to keep all.

I asked you to look at Brady's passing yards and TD's, in his first 3 season. It is not that hard, you can do it purguy. I can help you if you need help.

Anyway, the point was that Brady increased his passing total dramatically. He had similar number to that of Wilson. That being said purguy, while it seems impossible to you, those that watch RW every game, EVERY play, know how valuable RW is.

LOL even his teammates know this but these seattle fans don't. Love it.

Seriously? Seattle fans have only been talking about who stays and who goes for the last 2+ years. No shit you can't afford to keep a defense with Wagner, Thomas, Chancellor, and Sherman.

OF COURSE some people will get cut. That's the way it works. Seattle has already had to say goodbye to good players because of cap issues (Maxwell to Philly, Tate to Detroit).

The question isn't 'will Seattle be able to keep all its players?' It's 'Will Seattle be able to keep their KEY players?'

Don't pretend that you're rocking anyone's world with your big revelations here.

Irvin? Gone. At least two or three other high priced vets will either re-structure or be gone.

No fvkcing shvt.

Of course he got paid. If it were so easy to get a QB they wouldn't have paid Flynn so much for basically one good game.

Will some people get cut? Yes, but it won't be any of our "Core" players. All of those guys are signed for at least three years. After that, the implosion you are envisioning might happen.

Not sure where ESPn is getting their information. Before this deal got done Seattle if the Cap is around $150 million next year have around $38 million in cap space before this deal got done. I doubt his cap hit is $38 million. This definitely makes things a lot tighter from next year on for the team but they have done pretty well managing the cap knowing this situation would happen.

I will say though that Bobby Wagner tweet was pretty telling of his thoughts on what this means for his future.
