In the case of the NFL this will be interesting to see whether the NFL bends or the union bends. Right now they kind of have a "3 strike rule". I would bet the house that the union would be fervently against a hair follicle policy especially if marijuana use around the league is as widespread as the article tries to indicate.in states with no "employment at will" clause, you can challenge that policy tho....not easily, but you can.
here, you literally cant. employers discretion.
i.e we have medicinal marijuana here in mass. 2-3 people on our production floor have scrips.
it will be interesting if/when that comes up...
hair tests are VERY expensive vs the standard gastro spectrometer test used in urine samples. In the case of the NFL this will be interesting to see whether the NFL bends or the union bends. A small trace of alcohol from a day previous will not get someone fired.

I thought you couldn't get addicted to marjuana
of any recreational drug, it has the least amount of "withdrawal symptoms"...and they typically only last a day or 2.Physically, no. Mentally, yes.
The definition most commonly accepted by addiction experts is a boiled-down version of the one laid out in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders(DSM-IV TR), psychiatry’s handbook of all mental conditions. By the book, addiction is the compulsive use of a substance despite ongoing negative consequences, which may lead to tolerance or withdrawal symptoms when the substance is stopped. By this definition, about 10% of people who smoke marijuana become addicted to it.
they failed tests, AH didnt...if you read the article about testing procedures and WHY those 2 failed. Some how Seattle had two defensive backs Thurmond and Browner suspended for smoking a legal supstance in their home state their super bowl year, yet this guy skates?

parts/nanoliter are cheaper to do than the hair analysis.
if your testing 1,700 people with hair vs urine, the price is easily 10 fold, one vs the other.

I also thought pot didn`t make you violent.........
Just another false advertisement.
