...... They held up well for an hour and then the ship started to sink. Question was: Too long a practice session? Longest practice so far at Gillette has been 1:45. Physically not ready to play for three hours?
They are getting into shape,
Vanilla offense was figured out by GB after awhile,
Mixing and matching O-line
constantly changing players out
Trying out new versions of plays

I bought the $13.99 plastic one for my great grand daughter. It's above the garage today.

I almost messed my BVDs when I called the pool installer. 15' x 25' inground with concrete surround and a lanai. $135,000 and they MIGHT be able to break ground next February. Called two more and got between $125-$135 from them but nothing until late January 2024.

Just might buy that 48" x 12' dia. Hell, for $135,000 I can buy two brand new Lincolns and sit in the a/c.

I''m going to build my own.
It will be a small pool - sometimes called a splash pond.
The construction techniques are very much the same as the water features I have previously built.
I hope the gunnite guys are not that backed up here as that would cause a serious scheduling issue.
Can't have the hole open for too long.....

Guy down the street is doing the same. He dug the hole in May. Finally got the concrete poured in late June. He's still waiting for the concrete to be surfaced. Don't know if it's Gunite or something else. He wants my brother to do a stone patio. My brother's wife is the one undergoing Chemo for Liver and Pancreatic cancer. I told the guy not to hold his breath.

A stone patio is a romantic choice and looks good in the magazines.
Unfortunately, it is a natural product and I got more complaints with stone patios than any other feature.
Issues are uniformity, trip hazards, sharp edges on bare feet, etc.
If it was your patio, I would advise you not to do it......

Note: building your own pool is possible but fraught with failure and not a DIY project!

My brother did this at my house. It was about 90% done. I carried every F*#kin' stone. Walk on it all the time in bare feet. We also built the A/C wall to kinda brighten up patio.

Just as an aside................

He's neurotic. If you look carefully, from the doorway toward the blue bucket area every stone in the line is exactly the same. With the exception of the 6 x 12 edge stones.

I love pavers! They are strong and properly laid you rarely have issues.
I highly recommend interlocking concrete pavers .
If you decide to do this instead of the stone patio, I'd be happy to give some installation tips.

Note: Nobody in Florida installs them correctly. The market is too competitive to price them correctly......

My brother started doing it in Green Bay when he worked for Humana and his wife was the Packers travel agent. They're both Packer fans. Somehow the egg and sperm got disjointed and their son is a Broncos fan.

He's done over half-acre of pavers on his property in Chatanooga over the past 25 years. Like I said, he's a neurotic and he's built walls, driveways and patios for most of his neighbors. He says it's relaxing. Of course, he's a retired Insurance Actuary. Talk about investigating something to death and not making any mistakes finding somebody else's mistakes.

Maybe I'm worse?
The picture is a "stacked bond"
Stacked bond is very easy, unprofessional and not as strong.
Better paterns are K-pattern, true random, among others.

Lions win over KC was very exciting. A very good game!
I was amazed at the gameplan and the coaching.
They not only did enough to win the game but they revealed some plays and series of plays that we could emulate.
Especially in the power run game!

Bill and Bill - hope you were paying attention!

Ranking AFCE O-lines!
Patriots 13th,
Dolphins 20th (up after getting Wynn, LOL)
Bills 22nd
Jets 23rd
O-line is our weakest link? Are we really that bad off? Looks like Rodgers, Tua, and Allen are going to be running around a lot!

Jets O-line just cost them their starting QB - without a single pass completion.
Who's next? Buffalo gave up 3 sacks
