Bradford for Foles??

Ok, now that Im home and the conditions and have been fully disclosed, I am totally on board with this trade.

Lets look at it this way: Bradford is going to the easiest division in football and his competition is Sanchez. There is a 50/50 shot that the Eagles will be chasing the playoffs even with Bradford as the QB so thats a 50/50 shot of getting the Eagles 2nd rounder. 50% chance the Rams give up a 3rd or 4th instead but if that happens then that means that Bradford is godawful and getting rid of a cancer is worth a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Its win/win. It really is.


Foles is a bit on an enigma in Chip Kelly's system. The bad news is that Sanchez was able to do what he did. The good news is that he was playing competitive football and winning games so his stats aren't garbage stats like most of Bradfords. More good news: there isn't any evidence that Philly ever had a good offensive line.


So.....I'm not going to buy a Foles jersey but I think Im going to join the consensus and say that the Rams made a good move.

Good question, I would guess there is language in there protecting the Rams since the Rams have no control over that type of play...

That said, I would speculate the Rams would get the Eagles 2nd rounder next year by default...

ESPN reported the Rams get the Eagles 2nd next year ( it doesn't say it's conditional ).

The only conditional pick they mention is the Rams giving up either a 3rd or a 4th depending on playing time.

If the Eagles trade Sam away before he has the opportunity to live up to the trade contingencies, then the Rams get the Eagles 2nd rounder in 2016 by default.

Mainly because he never had the opportunity to start 8 games for the Eagles in 2015.

While it's not necessarily a move I would have made, I'm fully on board with it. Mainly because of the cap space it frees up. I say, best of luck to ya in Philly, Sam!

Of course, our priorities still remain the same. Shore up the O-Line, STAT! And with Shaun Hill's departure, we're still gonna have to look at a legit QB in the draft. People forget that Foles finished 2 of his 3 seasons on IR himself and Davis/Keenum cannot be our contingency plan.

That said... the potential weapons at his disposal in St. Louis could be huge for Foles as long as we can keep him upright. I'm honestly pretty excited to see what he can do.
