Kobe's contract is a millstone around the Lakers neck. He does not help them in any way shape or form at this point where the franchise is currently at.

If they finish 6th in the lotto because Kobe won them 2-3 extra games and they lose their pick (a pick owed for Steve Nash by the way which is just sorry in its own way) I would be disgusted as a Lakers fan.

Maybe not quite as disgusted as blowing a 25 point lead to the Sixers like the Heat just did though LOL.....thats gonna be a FUN game tomorrow.

"The rest of Kobe's teammates wanted to send him a message that they can hit threes and shots just like him if he'd only give them a chance."

Kobe doesn't pass is the greatest misconception in sports.

He had 8 assists vs the Thunder recently.

He had 9 assists in their win against the Spurs.

He had 6 assists in their win over the Kings.

He had 13 assists in their win over the Pistons.

12 assists in their win over the Raps.

You get the picture.

the picture i saw was Kobe on Sunday going 8/30 with 9 turnovers. He's shooting 37%. Yah.....%37%- that's Rubio territory

Below average? :pound:

meaning he's WORSE than the average player in the league, as in BELOW what one would consider the halfway line...

not true, but i was just clarifying...

As of right now he is a below average player, he is 36 FFS.

Go look at PER, ORTG DRTG, BPM, and VORP. That is pretty much every advanced metric readily available to the public. He is below average in all except PER. Then multiply his affect on the game by having a lead leading 36.4 USG% as a below average player.

Ignore his "intangibles" of constantly berating teammates and management which I am sure is great for morale.

Let's see how strong your opinion will be when Byron gives him a night off every now and then. Kobe when he's fresh is so much better than when he is tired. There's a reason why Duncan, Ginobli, even Wade and others have such great numbers, because they are consistently at 100% when they play. I expect to see a lot more of Kobe at 100% and not so much when he's exhausted.

I don't have set stances or opinions on players, schemes or anything. I clearly stated "currently" Kobe is a below average player and provided undeniable evidence. If Kobe becomes productive on the court I will be the first to admit it. I will still offer any number of Kobe prop bets on minutes played to on court production stakes ranging from avatars to NBA forum bans.

As for Kobe and rest, he has been pretty consistent regardless of games in number of days.

Kobe fans, understand he had a top 12 all time career but he is 36 years old. The attitude that did very well for him over his career is now also a detriment to the team he is playing for. Being named #40 was a gift of nostalgia.

We should all feel sorry for poor Nick Young, having to deal with trash talk. I would make a WNBA joke here but I think even the women probably talk more trash than you.

There has clearly been a downward trend as the season has progressed, and when every one of Kobe peers aren't playing 82 games a season anymore, I think it's extremely reasonable to consider it. The lack of lift in Kobe's legs has been pretty visible lately, it explains why he's getting a few games off. You'd have to actually watch the games to be able to observe that though.

How about you just ban yourself again like you did when you accused the NBA of fixing games last year. If you believe that Kobe is an average NBA player just know that no one within the league agrees with you, you guys stand alone in your hatred.
