Alright so back to the actual game instead of trying to show who has had worst Super Bowls as well nobody wins in that smack talk.

Just a cool little thing I thought I would put out there...During Emmanuel Sanders' career (4-years) he has played the Patriots 3 times. In each of those 3 seasons he had his best game of the season. Now that might be just a bit difficult to top this time around as his best yardage game was 149 yards and his best touchdown game was 3 touchdowns so maybe we are looking at a 150 yard 4 touchdown game for him. IF you have him on your fantasy team this is the week to start him. For some reason beating the Patriots means a bit more to him.

So, how can that be an example of all these mystery plays??? If you're describing it, it's gotta be on film:scratch::doh:

I did not call them mystery plays. What I am expecting to see are plays that have not been utilized much this season. We have personnel that have been under-utilized because of other needs. I'm really looking forward to seeing these plays (win or lose) We have seen improvement on Offense but there is more improvement needed and available.

Enjoy the game......

(wow, this thread turned to shit)

Yeah let's see if we can get it back on track. WE did so good to stay civil all week leading up to this game. No reason to ruin that the day before. Plus good chance these two teams meet up again at some point this season. As for the unexpected plays...I expect it to happen. Belichick does seem to like to save a little something extra for these type of games. Back in 2012 I remember the hurry up offense was taken to a whole new level when the Broncos came to town and the team just did not prepare for them to come at them so quickly. Then we saw the plays with Hernandez lining up in the backfield destroy us. I think BB knows that this game could have some huge ramifications later in the season so pulling out all the stops to win makes sense.

As for the Broncos I expect them to do something like that as well. We have seen the Broncos be a little more creative on offense this year with some different weapons and I expect to see the same thing that we pull out a few plays from the playbook that haven't been shown. No matter what I expect a great game between two teams fighting for top power in the AFC and possibly NFL.

So question for Patriot fans...Do you truly believe that your secondary is deserving of that #1 rank right now for pass yards given up in games? I ask this as I was just watching a segment where they were debating this game and they brought up that really NE has not played any good quarterbacks so far this year...We have Tannehil (who has improved some but still at best middle of the pack), Cassel, Carr, Alex Smith (probably the best one face so far and had a 144 quarterback rating on them), Andy Dalton, Kyle Orton, Geno Smith, and Jay Cutler.

I'm really not meaning any disrespect by this post but just wondering how you guys are actually feeling about your secondary heading into this one...do the stats really show where the team should be ranked or is it a bit of fools gold?

I'm thinking Pats are easily top 5 pass defense. Top billing deserved? Naah. We definately have the talent to be #1 pass defense but it will take better linebacker play.

Question for Denver fans:
Do you really think that Dever rushing D derserves #1 ranking? Denver is certainly good against the run but the best rushing team you have played against is Seattle - and you lost. Denver opponent havre the fewest rush attempts in the league - you are #32. Is it because the Rushing D is that good, or the passing D is easier to attack? (and the opponent usually has to catch up)

Well this like anything when discussing these things is not just a simple yes or no. I think they are easily top-5 against the run as it just isn't the attempts but they are 5th in the league in yards per carry. Throw in a lot of the big runs have been when the game is decided and we are in dime formations like last week on the final play of the game San Diego got like a 26 yard run on the final play when we already had the game won. Just stupid chunk yards that really helped to make San Diego look better than they really were.

I also think though because teams have to abandon the run game so quickly that it does help some. If you look though at our 1st quarter rushing stats you will see the team is just as good against the run when the game is close though.

I would also say that Seattle is not the best rushing team we have played in the NY Jets have been better and we held them to a season low if I remember right. At this point in the season we have played 5 of the top-12 rushing teams in yards so all but 2 of our games have been against top half of the league rushing teams. Teams also realize they have to establish the run with the idea of shortening the game to try and keep Manning's opportunities to a minimum yet you see how little we give up on the ground.

So all that to say I would say we are least top-3 if not the best in the league at this time. I don't think it is a fluke that we are ranked where we are as we have played some great rushing teams yet limited them quite a bit. Del Rio is known for designing a defense that really works to shut down the run game first and force teams to pass. He is not afraid to put the ball in Brady's hands and say "Beat us Brady." Maybe not the smartest thing to do but it is what he does.

Haha try not to be too hard on us if you guys win as I'm hoping none of us go to your guys' page and talk too much crap if we would win this one. I have a feeling our two boards will be getting together come January for another week of conversation. Anyway like you hoping for no injuries and a well fought game on both sides. At the end of the day we both have two great organizations that we have been blessed to see winners most years over the last 20 or so years. Win or lose we are still most likely both going to the playoffs and that is what matters. Get in the tournament and see what happens.

I posted this in the New England Patriots board this morning. For you late sleepers west of New England, you really should turn on CNN and see what this storm has done in Georgia and the Carolinas.

Good morning sports fans..!!!!

Turning the clock back an hour is bad for people like me. I stayed up late last night and still woke up at 3:55 AM. Stayed in bed until 5 and finally rolled out to make the coffee.

The weather here is biting cold because the wind is stiff this morning. I take my Shi-Tzu for a half mile walk twice a day. We went out about 7:30 AM and here is what is really happening in New England.

The sky is completely overcast. The temperature is 40 degrees and has been since I got up. The wind is blowing steady at 23 mph and it's gusting to about 40. I wore a suede leather coat and was comfortable for the walk but by the time I got home, my leash hand was near frozen. The Channel 5 Boston weather report says that Foxboro will get between 1 and 2 inches of snow. The temp in Foxboro is 38 degrees and the winds are blowing between 28 - 35 mph, gusting to as high as 45 mph. Supposedly the front will push through and the weather will be very cold and very windy by 5:00 PM.

Think what you may, but neither team has played in weather like this so far this year and the Patriots have no advantage because the temps have not been this low nor have the winds been quite this blustry.

If the weather is a factor, it will be because it affects the ball not the passers.

Snowing and the plows are out and its windy. Denver will have to run the ball very well and create some turnovers. Just saying.

I saw the weather forecast for this game, with the cold, wind, and snow. That will definitely make it more interesting and fun to watch. Advantage: Patriots.

The New England fans must have been doing snow dances and sacrificing animals all week to bring this weather in, lol.

Maybe it won't be as much of a blowout as I previously expected, but I think the Broncos will still win by at least two scores. They will have to rely on the run game, but that has been getting better throughout the season. And they can stop the Patriots from doing the same. I'll go ahead and predict a 31-17 Broncos win. Hopefully no injuries to either team.

I think the bad weather has passed,....but I'd expect some ========wind on the field by kickoff.
