So, how can that be an example of all these mystery plays??? If you're describing it, it's gotta be on film![]()
So question for Patriot fans...Do you truly believe that your secondary is deserving of that #1 rank right now for pass yards given up in games? I ask this as I was just watching a segment where they were debating this game and they brought up that really NE has not played any good quarterbacks so far this year...We have Tannehil (who has improved some but still at best middle of the pack), Cassel, Carr, Alex Smith (probably the best one face so far and had a 144 quarterback rating on them), Andy Dalton, Kyle Orton, Geno Smith, and Jay Cutler.
I'm really not meaning any disrespect by this post but just wondering how you guys are actually feeling about your secondary heading into this one...do the stats really show where the team should be ranked or is it a bit of fools gold?
I'm thinking Pats are easily top 5 pass defense. Top billing deserved? Naah. We definately have the talent to be #1 pass defense but it will take better linebacker play.
Question for Denver fans:
Do you really think that Dever rushing D derserves #1 ranking? Denver is certainly good against the run but the best rushing team you have played against is Seattle - and you lost. Denver opponent havre the fewest rush attempts in the league - you are #32. Is it because the Rushing D is that good, or the passing D is easier to attack? (and the opponent usually has to catch up)
finz/s.d.,...?I'm going to watch the Denver San Diego game so I'm out.
Let's play the game. and no injuries.
I don't know what time I'll watch the Denver / NE game but I'll be back after the game win or lose - to talk shit or cry like a little girl....
lol,...I'm still waiting for all the leaves to come down [finally!].......my ''anal-retentive'' neighbors are getting ALL my leaves on their neatly-vacuumed lawns...*as I type*.......LMAO...!I posted this in the New England Patriots board this morning. For you late sleepers west of New England, you really should turn on CNN and see what this storm has done in Georgia and the Carolinas.
Good morning sports fans..!!!!
Turning the clock back an hour is bad for people like me. I stayed up late last night and still woke up at 3:55 AM. Stayed in bed until 5 and finally rolled out to make the coffee.
The weather here is biting cold because the wind is stiff this morning. I take my Shi-Tzu for a half mile walk twice a day. We went out about 7:30 AM and here is what is really happening in New England.
The sky is completely overcast. The temperature is 40 degrees and has been since I got up. The wind is blowing steady at 23 mph and it's gusting to about 40. I wore a suede leather coat and was comfortable for the walk but by the time I got home, my leash hand was near frozen. The Channel 5 Boston weather report says that Foxboro will get between 1 and 2 inches of snow. The temp in Foxboro is 38 degrees and the winds are blowing between 28 - 35 mph, gusting to as high as 45 mph. Supposedly the front will push through and the weather will be very cold and very windy by 5:00 PM.
Think what you may, but neither team has played in weather like this so far this year and the Patriots have no advantage because the temps have not been this low nor have the winds been quite this blustry.
If the weather is a factor, it will be because it affects the ball not the passers.
I think the bad weather has passed,....but I'd expect some ========wind on the field by kickoff.Snowing and the plows are out and its windy. Denver will have to run the ball very well and create some turnovers. Just saying.
