Heck, I remember one year the 49'ers scored something like 3 TD's in less than 2 minutes.

Other team fumbled the kickoff, resulting in a score

Other team threw an INT or fumbled their first offensive play, which led to another score...21 points in under 2mins if I remember correctly. It was awhile ago.

Yep and Manning did it on MNF against the Bucs all those years ago. 21 points in the last 3 mins for the win.

What gets me is....

I have always kind of thought that Broncos fans were intelligent enough to know when to get loud and when to stay silent without needing some scoreboard operator to tell them.

Totally got whoever is in charge of the scoreboard entertainment in mile high fired. Because when the chosen one was on the field Up Two Scores, With under 2 minutes to play, with SD having ZERO time outs left. The opporator cut to players dancing on the sideline, didn't play the standard "quite down chosen one at work"

I don't blame Manning for being pissed. The guy is a perfectionist, and he plans everything. It's pretty standard, when the offense is coming onto the field, you don't play music and get the crowd loud. You do that when the defense is coming onto the field.

But tell me that is not an in house thing?

He was asked if he was upset with the fans. He was trying to make it clear he didn't blame the fans, he just thought the scoreboard operator shouldn't have been riling them up. It's really not a big deal.

One thing that's been lost in this meaningless story is Peyton said during his press conference that it was disrespectful of the scoreboard operator to be panning back and forth from Manning to Rivers over and over. One QB looked happy and the other was sulking. Peyton respects his competitors and didn't like the fact the operator was disrespecting an opponent.

Honestly not at all. I really like watching manning. Why would I have any ill will towards him? My team smoked him in the superbowl, and we beat him this year giving him his teams only loss.

I just think its prickish for a gazillionaire nfl QB to publicly call out some random dude who runs a big screen for a living. Sherman, Wilson, Manning get paid big bucks and should be critisized,,,,, the dude working the big screen doesn't.

Id probably be on board had this been at a time that mattered in the game. but the game was over.

You have a point there, that he shouldn't have called him out like that which is really out of character for PM, but I think it embarrassed him and he remembers what happened last yr and is trying to avoid getting cocky before you actually win a championship.....
