Did you guys hear that Benji Molina is also a candidate for the managerial position.
Interesting article on ESPN site re: Russel Martin becoming a FA after this season with the Pirates. And the Rangers are mentioned as potential landing spots.
I think JD will go cheap at catcher again.

Me too. He's going to have to spend a bunch on pitching if he wants any chance at being competitive

How much do you think he will spend on pitching?

Not as much as we'd all like him to. I would like Shields and maybe Gallardo. That seems relatively realistic, but I think there's a better chance of getting a veteran and someone like Shields.
I don't see us getting someone like Shields. He is going to get a big payday. The Rangers aren't usually in on those.
We were in on Grienke until the very end and he got a much bigger payday, but you might be right. I'd be alright with Gallardo and Santana.

Is it a given that Milwaukee doesn't pick up the option on Gallardo?
No, no, I'm pulling for the Rangers all the way. I'll pull for the Braves in the NL....and they're going absolutely nowhere this year just like the Rangers...Should be a competitive series here, I would hope. Les is probably pulling for both teams.
If we can find any kind of offense at all, we have a chance at a few wins in this series. Braves offense has been nearly as awful as ours as been over the last several weeks...Should be a competitive series here, I would hope. Les is probably pulling for both teams.
Hit by injuries too, weren't they? Particularly in the rotation. No, no, I'm pulling for the Rangers all the way. I'll pull for the Braves in the NL....and they're going absolutely nowhere this year just like the Rangers...
