I really think our best chance of unloading that contract is to take a risk on Kemp. I really don't think teams are interested in Elvis like they were. I heard the Yankees aren't at all. They'll probably go after Hanley.

If they want the worst SS in the game and a bad clubhouse club too, so be it.

I still think it to a degree but I used to think that the reason why Elvis hadn't developed into the player we all thought and hoped for was because of Wash and kind of limiting his capabilities with all those nonsense bunts etc. If a manager takes on a mission to make Elvis better I think he has to let him unleash not limit him with those annoying first and second inning stupid bunts.

I agree. I also think Elvis tries to be a situational hitter to much. He's not that great at it. He seems to fail trying to hit the ball to the right side to move the runner. How about moving the runner by driving the ball up the middle or to LC.

I agree completely. I think a new manager and new hitting coach would be great for Elvis.

I know this is a crappy time for Rangers fans, but I got a great job today! Nailed the interview and I accepted the position! Yay for small victories.

Congratulations man!

Congratulations! Hope it's everything and more which you think it is!

Thanks. It's for a really good company and I think it will be a great fit. They are rated as one of the top Fortune 100 companies to work for in America. It's been a long time coming for me to find something like this.

This isn't good for the Rangers because after fortifying their line-up at the dealine they need pitching.

Red Sox chairman Tom Werner said today in an appearance on WEEI’s Dennis & Callahan (via WEEI.com’s Jerry Spar) that his club is prepared to spend a significant amount of money on the upcoming free agent market. “[W]e are determined to get back to being in first next year,” said Werner.
Citing the “extreme flexibility” that the club was able to achieve in the famous 2012 August blockbuster with the Dodgers, Werner said that the organization is prepared to open the pocketbook this winter. “I wouldn’t say that we have limitless money, but we’ve got a lot of money to spend and we’re determined to go into the free agent market and improve the team.”

Most welcome. Now break out the BQ and beer. :suds:
If I was a beer drinker I would be living it up this weekend assuredly. I might just have a nice glass of small batch bourbon tonight though. Mmmmm nothing like that sweet Kentucky goodness.

Congrats Rev. Oops! Hey, life itself is much more important than what goes on with the Rangers. That is for our enjoyment or suppose to be.

I wish we would have heard something similar to that last offseason instead of them telling us the budget would remain very close to the same as it was in 2013. When I heard JD tell Norm Hitzges that about 10-11 months ago I thought we were in for a disappointing 2014.

Front end supervisor for a specialty foods market. Pretty excited for where it can lead.
