Sorry.....but what the hell are Buzz/Mac talking about?

In the glove, or in the leather?

I've been around BB all my life and I've never heard this jargon before.

Semantics?

They mean when it actually hits leather and not when it appears to enter the glove. I thought he was safe. Tie goes to the runner. I don't understand the "we don't have enough evidence" BS. There was all the evidence you need.

Have we broken the MLB record for most players ever used in a season yet?

I agree. I wish Bogar would have moved him down in the order in his first game managing.
Maybe tomorrow. There was just too much shock today to think of things like that. Team did well considering probably having a lot on their minds.

BOSTON (AP) -- Melky Cabrera will undergo season-ending surgery next week after fracturing his right pinkie finger Friday night.
September 5, 2014

Interesting as Melky was a bat I had hoped we would make a run at this winter

HOU took the lead on OAK. If they lose, SEA & DET will only be 2 back. I don't want DET or OAK to make the playoffs but I'd rather OAK miss them.

Markakis and Cabrera are the 2 I've been interested in. That's in FA. There's a few I wouldn't mind trading for.

Once left-hander Robbie Ross’ best pitch, the cut fastball has become part of his problem

When Ross held Houston hitless for five innings last Saturday, the cutter showed movement in on right-handed hitters. They reached base only three times in 18 plate appearances.

When Ross could not get out of the second inning on Thursday night against Seattle, the cutter was short and stayed over the heart of the plate. Right-handed hitters reached base six times in eight plate appearances.

For the season, right-handed hitters are batting .335 with a .473 slugging percentage in 203 at-bats against Ross. In 2012-13, right-handed hitters batted .222 with a .282 slugging percentage against him

Been a brutal season man. But damn, its gonna make it so much sweeter when we rise back up. Hopefully by that time I'll have a life and be able to contribute.

Moral of the story: When posed with the question of "Should I consider law school?" or "Should I have a life?" sit on your couch, crack open a beer, and laugh at anyone who chooses the former.

We need to "re-figure" our "reconfiguration" IMO.

We've got a home park which isn't friendly to the home team.

it doesn't help when 3/5's of your starting pitching is at best is only AAA quality and 1 of the other 2 is notorious for giving gopher balls. to re-figure our pitching staff is the off-season priority #1 and we should be looking at at least 2 FA starters to back Yu and Derek

That's a tall order. Going to be tough to put a contending pitching staff together by next season. 2016 is more realistic.

I agree with you.

However, I was really referring to our "reconfigured" ball park.

Hate the lack of air flow, and all that backstop nonsense.

Unfortunately I agree.

You think the plan will be at trying Scheppers in the rotation or pen?
