1. Gilbert rant=James says :finger2:

2. You're stats don't equate to wins. If anything quite the opposite. NO reason Cavs shouldn't have been a playoff team last season. Irving is over rated and offering him a max IMO is a terrible move.
The Cavs don't need him and should explore trading him.

YES, if James went there the Cavs instantly would rise to EC contenders, but you could say that to just about any team in the East if James went there.

Kyrie has had a bad team around him. With a great player and maybe upcoming great player around him, it will make him even better and he is only 21. Overrated, not even close.

Gilbert would have to say sorry public to LBJ for him to even think about coming back to Cleveland.

100% agree. Their roster is not bad. With LBJ they are a power house.

Just think about:

Kyrie
Deng
Lebron
Thompson
Hawes

They still need some key pieces but their bench isn't bad either.

Wiggins coming off the bench.
Varejeo
Waiters
Jack
Miles

No doubt he would make Cleveland the beast of the east, but I think he stays in Miami.

U are way off. Cleveland would have a chance to go to the Finals next year. Who in the East would stop them. Stop being a Homer and look at the Roster. Irving is already better then anyone on the Heat not name LBJ. Plus they have the #1 pick. Come on man.

Absolutely, and at times Waiters can score better than anyone on the Heat. They just need to learn how to play defense, is the problem.

What's with the Kyrie Irving bashing? Has anybody actually watched him play? He's aggressive and is always looking to break down people off the dribble. He forces some shots but you throw James in there and he's going to get a ton of open looks and the lane is going to be wide open for him. Him and James would be grinding teams to the ground. The only problem I see with him is the injuries.

Who the hell is going to stop a Irving/James pick and roll? That would be sick.

Yah, but still young also. His mid-range jumpshot is money and a good 3 pt shooter. He can go on one of those streaks just like Wade or Lebron, great scorer for his age.

No!

These pieces don't fit! Where are the shooters? LBJ better get used to triple teams every time he drives it. This roster is seriously flawed.

Kyrie is a very good shooter and they will need to get shooters in free agency. A couple good shooting veterans shouldn't be too hard to get.

Plus Kyrie can create his own shot just like Wade could, but a better shooter.

One problem...

Who sets the pick? Both these guys are creaters. Are you really going to turn LeBron into the roll guy?

Irving could screen for LBJ to create a mismatch with Irving popping for 3, but a LeBron/Irving pick and roll is silly.

How bout Cleveland trades that #1 and others for Love?

Wouldn't happen but would be sick.

Sure, but the 2 best shooters on the team are also the two best creators. Deng is a good player, but not a 2. Wiggins does not fit this group at all either. Nor does Waiters. This group would need a serious facelift, not just a couple signings.

That is what I suggested in my first post, and likely the best way Cleveland could be relevant with LBJ.

As constructed, the Bulls, Pacers and Wizards could all beat them.

I think Wiggins is gonna be really good but in the future, I say trade that pick for a god piece to fit in with Lebron and Kyrie

While Miami is the clear frontrunner, and rightfully so... I do see Cleveland as a legitimate option.

If we're talking about the current Cleveland lineup + LeBron.... there's no way in hell.

BUT... if the Cavs can do either of these (or even both)
1) Put the #1 pick in a package for Love
2) Sign Carmelo

Now you're looking at a tempting alternative, I think. Keep in mind, that while Love and Melo have NO interest in Cleveland... that would quickly change with knowledge that LeBron would join them there.

The Cavs have great cap space with Deng and Hawes coming off the books and their best players still young.

Also... bigd... the Witness the Forgiveness thing is pure genius
