Bottom line is Jackson has done nothing wrong illegally. Is there potential that he is hanging with the wrong crowd? Yes. There is also the potential that this has all been blown out of proportion and the team is using this as a justification for getting rid of a problem child. IF we decide to sign him, we just need to structure the contract that it protects the team if DJ has off the field issues.

As for the talent, lets be real. He is a difference maker. By lining up wide, he changes the entire dynamic of the offense. garçon would now rarely see double teams. Reed and the slot receiver should be wide open. RG3 has legitimate threats at every skill position. As a returner, he is a threat every time he touches the ball. This is a talent that is hard to pass up unless you have concrete evidence that he is heading toward a bad time off the field.

some of the people i grew up with did bad things . does that mean i am a bad thing doer ?

the issue to have with DS would be his work ethic , missing meetings and sleeping in them .

There was no hard evidence on Vick either...he's also a supporter of animal rights. Anti-bullying campaign...whippee...that's the most self-righteous feel good thing they do. Do you believe for a second any of those professional athletes didn't bully people growing up?

It's not people he grew up with. It's people he hangs out with.

He knows what the sign means and his record label obviously was named in support of the Crips.

I see much more evidence that he has the wrong ties than he does poor ethic. He was suspended once in his career for missing meetings...he may very well have missed more but that's the evidence you guys claim.

Obviously pulling Philly out of the mix, probably take Dallas off the list as well. So two of the 24 remaining team might be in super secret decoder ring negotiation mode. Should be interesting to watch.

IM starting to get the feeling we are going to make the Jackson deal happen AND draft a WR with some height early in the draft. The only pressing draft needs I see at the moment are Safety, and RT. But I could see them grabbing a guy like Benjamin if he is there at 34. Still think we could use another CB in there some where, but not in the 2nd round as it stands unless some one really jumps out.

Im still looking for these red flags. He flashed what might be a gang sign after a TD in a game?? Hell the computer nerds in my office walk around flashing weird finger movements every day. Are they all secretly members of Geeks wit gunz??

And i will stress again, anything, and I do mean anything coming out of Philly has to be taken with a grain of salt. Its just as likely the coach took a dislike to Jackson for what ever reason and wanted him out. But its hard as hell to say, well I cut him because I just didnt like him and have that fly.

I dont think he is a saint by any means. But if he were that much of a problem, head case, locker room cancer.... this would have come out sooner than just last week.

From a talent prospective, we could use him. From a contract perspective, depends on what he costs. From a locker room perspective... If we can get through last year relatively speaking.. I dont think it can get much worse. And as for the missing meetings thing... thats on the coaches to fix, not mope about.
