Stance: Goofy
This could be one of the biggest games in Jackets history. A direct playoff push fight with an original 6 that is also a division rival and half of each team came from the other. Oh, and the former face of the Jackets franchise finally comes back after the big trade a year and a half ago.
Former Jackets on the Rangers:
Rick Nash, Derrick Brassard, Derek Dorsett, John Moore
Former Rangers on the Jackets:
Brandon Dubinski, Artem Anisimov, Fedor Tyutin, John Davidson (can't forget him)
The big question is what kind of reaction does Rick Nash get? Some local media is still trying to push the whole "he asked to leave" angle, a point which Rick stopped just short of denying in an interview with Twatwaffle this week. He said only "A lot of things should have gone differently". And the people who handled that situation are all gone.
The locals here are very sensitive about this place, and have no use for anyone who disrespects it. With some outlets trying to push the "he wanted out" message, I am afraid that some people will boo. That would be stupid. Because the truth of the matter is, he spends his summers here. His fiancee lives here. His parents spend a lot of time here and his brother moved here and got married. If I were there, I would do something I have never done in my life before; cheer loudly for someone in a Ranger uniform.
Let's go Jackets!
