Russell Wilson wasn't great, he was just good enough - but that's nothing against him, he did his job very well - it's just that the numbers don't really warrant the MVP honors

I guarantee you if the QB of the Seahawks was a bigger name like a Luck or an RGIII, they would've won the MVP. Wilson plays a flawless game, and gets robbed...Can't believe it.

And Ironically he completely outplayed the guy across the line who just got another MVP trophy.....priceless

Yes, early on he missed a couple easy ones. Doesn't matter, he isn't prone to costly mistakes and his team is the total package.

I think smith was the clear MVP since you have to give one, but after him there were a lot of guys to make a case for.

18/25 206, 2 TDs no INTs 123.1 QB rating. 3 carries, 26 yards. 0 sacks. I don't care how good the rest of the team plays. Unless you play you an all time great, memorable game, a QB with those stats wins the MVP every time. ROBBED. Period.

Except about 120 yards and 2 TDs came in garbage time when the game was already decided.

Don't turn the ball over and get first downs. Not fantasy football numbers but a solid performance. That being said, the entire "D" deserved the MVP.

The system Wilson plays in is not conducive of accumulating impressive stats. They are a run first, control the clock gritty team. The only way he posts impressive numbers is if they're drastically behind and it requires a comeback. With their current defense they will most likely not require to many of these types of performances by Wilson. Wilson will continue to play efficiently with clutch play and lead this team through any adversity which may present itself in the near or distant future. Awards are meaningless as the only thing that matters is the Super Bowl Trophy. I'm sure Manning would gladly trade two MVP's for this SB.

See, that's the problem. Just because of their name, they get far too much credit and far too much blame the other way. I think RW gets all the respect he wants from the people that matter in his life. His coaches, team mates, family, etc. This isn't robbery. It's the people voting actually thinking a little, for a change. Btw, I agree that Wilson played great but this isn't as bad a call as you think.

I was hoping the NFL would do something like this but they're adamant in adhering to this one man show. If I had to chose one player on D it would've been Chancellor.

A QB plays a flawless game in the Super Bowl. That gets you the MVP every time. Don't you guys agree? This is a travesty.

Congrats to the Seahawks and their fans. But it didn't even enter my mind that Wilson should get the MVP. Hell, he had hardly gotten on the field and the defense had already put the game away. No way he's the MVP.

When every player on the roster brings their A+ game it's silly to single one guy out. The team beat the player. That really sums up this Super Bowl. It was never The Colts. It was Peyton Manning and the Colts. And going into the game it wasn't the Broncos. It was Peyton Manning and the team he happened to pick. Seattle built a team and the whole attitude is that every player on the field can make a game-changing play. The Broncos put all their chips on Peyton and when that wasn't working they had nothing to fall back on. He's a great QB but a flawed QB. He's been spending his entire life trying to live up to the hype and he just always comes up short.

He didn't deserve to win MVP , but I agree with you. If he was a big name like Peyton, he would have easily won it. Case in point is Manning's Super Bowl MVP when it clearly should have gone to Joseph Addai.

As a Seahawk fan, I could care less. Seahawks have been a complete team all year. Credit needs to be spread around. Wilson did his part, but so did others.
