You are killing me man!

Why because I would take one Doughty who doesnt cheat and gives his all even as limited as he is over 53 Richard Shermans?? Sherman, Finnigan, TO, and players like them are whats fucked up the game of football.

read up on him shark, hes quite the person. also watch him in jump ball situations, hes probably the best corner in the league at them. also watch revis cover man to man, one hand is always on the receivers jersey and he just follows where his hand tells him.
seahawks were the most penalized team in the nfl this year, so they dont always get away with being to physical.

I couldnt agree more. Would love to have him on the skins. Not just because hes a great player, but because Id lovve to have some players out there playing with all the confidence in the world. Sure i get annoyed when Hall has a stupid penalty for screaming at a ref but in all honesty he was probably my favorite skin this past year, at least defensively. He shows some passion. So Sherman would certainly be welcome here for me. Post game screaming and all.

Guys, I think thats desperation talking. Or maybe Im just old school. But i prefer some one who has the Skills and doesnt need to talk themselves up to prove they are the best. Sherman reminds me of Deion Sanders with a bit of steroids tossed in for good measure. I would seriously have even less respect for the Skins if they brought in some one like him.

Assuming Sherman doesnt get caught for PEDs Id rather have him then a similar level CB who doesnt talk. Not that one definitively is better than the other. Im to young to remember old school football i guess so maybe thats why.

The last things the league needs is people like Richard Sherman. Honestly, I'd take out this knees. If you want to play dirty and act like a thuggish ass...I can play that game too.

Here he congratulates Tony Gonzalez after being eliminated from the playoffs so I don't want to hear that he is a sore loser.

This was just a badass play at the most critical time, by the best corner in football.

Then I hear Tom Brady saying he wins with Graciousness! What crock of shit. He used to not even hang around for hand shakes and run into the tunnel. Now at least Brady shakes the opposing QB's hand after a loss.

As I said guys, I think the Shermans of the world are whats going to ultimately cheapen the NFL. Its one thing to be cocky, but this guy is just an ass and I would not want him on the Skins any more than I wanted Deion Sanders.

It never ceases to amaze me at the number of people who have no idea what is said on the field, on the sidelines and in locker rooms in sports. I often wonder how these folks would feel about their so called "class acts" if they were privy to this aspect to the game. Anyone here actually believe that P. Manning for example would respond with a "Bless you" when responding to the charge of "fa got ass MFer during a game? Pretty sure unless miked, he'll respond in kind. This is the life of and environment in which these players operate. Richard Sherman if guilty of anything....would be guilty of giving you a glimpse into their reality. BTW in my lifetime I've been in a few scrums during a fumble, if my own experiences were anywhere near representative of what's happening on the pro level, then you've all got a lot to learn about players that you call either classless or a class act.

Dude, I watch almost every NFC game every week. As I said, double coverage in that situation it should have been a non catch. But the deflection was part luck, part the QB being dumb. Ball should have never been thrown into double coverage to begin with. Sherman did his job with underneath help.

..........Sooooo basically, a typical NFL play?????

Sty... my problem is that eventually you get his kind of culture beyond the NFL. Sorry dude, but I dont want any of the kids I coached or my own kids for that matter acting or playing like this guy. I admit he makes some good plays. But he is also just as guilty of taking some cheap shots as well. And that needs to get out of the game. Peyton Manning has never needed to go on camera at the end of a game win or lose and tell every one he is the best. Because simply put, every one knows it. Peyton also has never had to appeal a drug pop. If thats what it takes to be the best, go join WWE.

NP - let Sherman say whatever he likes. Will just make it that much sweeter when someone like Trent Williams clocks him again (& it will happen). Next time he won't be so lucky.

You bring up a good pt. that was echoed by Madden recently. Kids mimic whatever they see on TV. They most likely won't see the trash talk on the field but will see this type of interview numerous times in the media. The results could spill down into high school, pee-wee games, etc & get very ugly. Food for thought. I still believe that Sherman is smart enough to realize that he should not continue to behave in this manner & will change his ways over time.

Basically he did his job. There are plays like that every week in the NFL. The only thing that made it special was the game situation and that making the play put his team in the Super Bowl. IM not going to kiss his ass for him being in position, jumping up and defending a pass which is what he is supposed to do in that situation. I just think that the Deions and Shermans of the world cheapen the game.

Here's a secret....don't tell anybody, but that is cultural beyond the NFL. The world is full of people of all stripes doing despicable things to one another, be they police or other criminal types, politicians or other criminal types, or the average Joe who talks about, curses, brags, or praises Jesus with.......(fill in the blanks) for their enjoyment, or convenience. We are all guilty by participation or willful ignorance. Let's not pretend that the culture in the NFL started there. It came with the people involved and has benn that way since its inception.

BTW: P. Manning is nowhere near the best...........asterisks next to all records that he owns because of rule changes.

So then we should celebrate and encourage this kind of behavior?? If its wrong, its wrong. I dont care how many people do it. Acceptance of it just makes it worse. And honestly are you going to put an asterisk by two of the Skins Super Bowl trophy's because they came in strike years?? Manning plays with the rules in front of him, he hasnt bent them in word or deed. And if it were so easy because of the rules favoring him, why doesnt every QB throw for 50+ TDs in a season??

Next you will be telling me we should pick up Incognito.
