Seattle would be good but they can't win on the road

I don't mind this thread, I just call it as I see it. The Seahawks aren't a very good road team. Sure they can beat the inferior teams in the NFL on the road, but that doesn't dispute their reputation as a poor road team.
And here ladies and gentlemen, is the reason for this thread.

6-2 including a playoff road win and the Seahawks "aren't a very good road team."

They are 6-1 and their only loss came against one of the top young QB's in the league and it isn't like they got embarrassed. I'd hardly say that qualifies as being a poor road team. They have a make shift O line right now and yet are still finding ways to win even when they are ugly.

Any talk about being a poor road team is based on things too far in the past to be relevant. Even if you go back to last year they had a few slip through their grasp early/mid season while Wilson was still getting up to speed and then beat the skins on the road and came damn close to beating atlanta on the road. That isn't what poor road teams do.

Now I'll admit some of my fellow Seahawk fans don't know how to act with humility and are not keeping this in perspective, but there are too many up here saying things about those fans that hold true for the trolls from every base on this board. I almost wish they would create a NFL board that prohibits trolling of any kind and just let this one go to the dogs if they really want to let them have a place. You just can't have a rational discussion up here without a thread being hijacked by them.

:suds:

The truly great teams consistently win on the road regardless of the opponent. Until the Seahawks get some legitimate road victories my opinion will not change and your inferiority complex will continue to get worse.

This is the NFL general board. Half the fun is watching the reactions of posters here after you say something truthful. I'll keep the humility and perspective in the real discussions on the team boards. :suds:

Seahawks 24 - Redskins 14

That is a legitimate road win in the playoffs. You'll probably just say something like "If RG3 didn't get hurt Seattle obviously would have lost" though.

That is maybe the third time i have seen you post that,,,interesting.

shows how much I think this is all BS

if Hawks fans want to have a circle jerk about their team, you would think they would do on the Hawks board.....no?

Nah, I'd rather them do in here where I can expose their massive inferiority complex.

Not impressed with any of those 6 road wins....@ Buffalo? @ Arizona? @ Carolina twice? Houston is a mess. Last year they lost @MIA, @DET, @STL, @ARZ.....a combined 25-39 (.390)

Houston is a mess cause we made them a mess.

I think the point of "silencing critics" is to just let our play do the talking and watch as the talk and chatter simmer down about our "road woes" not to create a thread to start more chatter about it

Not even "truly great" but just really good teams beat teams that they are undeniably better than. Why have the Colts dropped games they should have won?

75% seems pretty consistant to me.

And again, where are these "truly great" teams that consistantly beat SB contenders on the road?

That's the thing, Seattle has never proven to anyone that they can beat legitimate playoff contenders on the road. Of those last six road wins, non of them have been playoff teams. The one legit playoff team was the Colts and you lost. Any good team can go on the road and beat garbage.

Didn't they beat Washington on the road in the actual playoffs last year? Seems to me that would count.

We obviously have no idea how that game would have turned out had RGIII stayed in the game considering he was tearing up the Seattle defense and had been one of the most dynamic players in the entire NFL last year before his injury.

We dont know. But Seattle has been down early before and finished strong. If games were only ten minutes long the Broncos would have lost to the Cowboys and the Colts would have lost to Seattle.

Also remember that Washington jumped to a 14-0 lead after 2 Seattle possessions that they couldn't move the ball. After that, they moved the ball with ease.

Not saying the Seahawks wouldn't have won as obviously the game is 60 minutes long not 10. Just saying when you lose a player of RGIII's ability it obviously hurts the chances of the Redskins. Everything of how that game would have fared is just speculation at this point.

You beat a playoff team on the road and the Seahawks should get credit for that. If they can continue to do some of that then watch out. They have the game to do it with a good power running offense that can help take some of the crowd out of the game and a defense that can get after people so I have no doubt that they can have success on the road even against playoff teams.

Not sure with responses like this why Seattle fans wonder why they are trolled so much. My dad always told me if you are willing to dish it out then be ready to receive it as well. So many of you take this all so personally. The other day I made a comment about how I thought Seattle was a big time Superbowl contender and I would love to see the Broncos play them in the Superbowl if things work out that way and I got called a "Jack-Ass" for being a troll. Even when people pay your team compliments some of you take it personally.

6-2 in their last 8 road games.

I guess the only leg so many haters had to stand on is gone. What's next? Gonna break out the "How many rings you got" argument that the 9ers trolls love to use?

Its almost like Hawk fans are arguing in favor of their road prowess to convince themselves.

I will say that unlike last year you aren't losing to inferior teams on the road... However the one bona fide playoff team you played on the road was a loss. That should tell you something.

The niners are 1-2 against "bona fide" playoff teams. 1-1 at home, 0-1 on the road.

What does that tell you?
