Don't worry I've got this whole charm thing outside the internet world working for me.

sometimes a person just nees to wakeup next to a horsehead, to send a polite signal that the fans want more information

even if it's a little plastic horsehead, he'll get the message.

Let me guess you gonna make him an offer he can't refuse ;)

Hey question, whats Irving like? I know Downtown Dallas and Arlington of course...there's a current debate about some Suite-Hotel in Irving and the Sheraton

and whoever suggested the famous chicken place? thanks, that's a hit and on the list, and the Aquarium.
Men are going to the Mavericks game, and we (women) are going to do the Cowboy Stadium tour, but not the football game.

anyway Irving?

Think Rev suggested the chicken place and I responded about the aquarium. Cowboy stadium tour is pretty cool but I don't know much about Irving since the old Cowboy stadium is no more. I will have to get back to you on that.

Okay, I'm not actually booking the rooms but my mother said to ask your "Ranger fans on the internet"
And, sigh. I'm supposed to thank everyone for her.
She's so nice.

No really, thanks!

"Cruz rejected a qualifying offer and is reportedly looking for a deal that pays $16MM or more a year, which may be a lot to player with limited defensive ability and scary offensive indicators. Cruz wants the Rangers to offer a three-year deal, but so far, they're only offering two. " Why?

Are you open to different types of food? You need to go to Terra Mediterranean grill. It's a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant that is amazing. But you only need to check out their lunch buffet which is every day except Saturday(don't understand that part). It's not like one of those cheap buffets either. If there is one recommendation for a food place from me that is the place. It's seriously to die for.

As far as Irving, it's a really huge suburb I suppose. Half of Irving is pretty new and somewhat upprt middle class and other half is older with working class folks. In terms of being the center of the Metroplex and near the airport it's a good place to stay. How long are you guys here for?

"what we already have", that's basically what Justin just said, and was chewed for it

:noidea:

No. Work on your reasoning comprehension. My comment was directed at his statement that he's concerned jd believes this team is good enough as is. Anyone who honestly believes jd thinks this team doesn't need any improvements doesn't get it.

Geez you're extra chipper lately.

And still won 91 games. Isn't there a cowboys forum you can shit on?

This offense was terrible last year. I agree that we still have holes but IMO saying we're going to suck is a stretch and a knee jerk. Pitching is our strength and that has not gone anywhere. We may very well be even better next season pitching wise. And who knows maybe it will be next season when Oakland finally comes back to earth.

Oh thanks, this place in Irving is nice because it's suites only then everyone gets a nice big room, Sheraton was nice too, but just regular rooms and some of us need more 'room' than that. I'll email her.
Some of us will definitely try the Med/Middle Eastern buffett, we could do that Sunday. I think we are there 4 nights/5 days
thank you again

Geez you're extra chipper lately.

I'm perfectly fine, I'm not the one telling posters they will lose all credibility if they are worried JD doesn't do much else...I thought that was a little over the top

The problem is, first JD said the budget would stay the same,(okay, but we have a lot of holes) then a recent statement while yes they may look at few things and if "they work out, great, but we're happy with the team we have right now, it's a team that contend" then add the fact that it does appear that we are waiting on Choo, if he doesn't sign then we are playing a rookie in left...if he doesn't leave us enough time. When you put Choo together with his statement it does make you think he may be willing to roll out what he has.

Waiting on Choo means likely means no Cruz (which I'm assuming no, at this point anyway...or he may sign with someone else before Choo...we don't know), and how much can you do when you don't know if Choo will sign? Can you go ahead and pay a DH type? He also said any big moves are unlikely, I guess I think of trading for a DH a pretty big move.

It's JD making some nervous by what he's saying, that appears to be the truth right now.

I grant that can change and assume it will, but there was dissapointment last year, and it's spilling over to worry about this year.

I don't know why we can't sign him for three, the rookie can play AAA next year, and if pans out then Cruz can be moved to a DH spot the following year. (Whether he likes it or not) Yes he's older, but a 3 year deal doesn't seem crazy to me

With Fielder, Cruz immediately improves the chances to score runs, and assuming Profar can match Kinsler's output then we are much better offensively than last year...and we wouldn't have to sweat Choo as much, if he doesn't sign.

Again, reading comprehension. I didn't say anything about him being worried jd won't do much else. I said if he really thinks jd is perfectly happy with the team as is, he's missing the boat. There's a difference in those two statements.

Second, we've been over this. Jd can't come out and say, "we need a couple bats really bad." Because it makes him look desperate. Anything jd puts out there is a calculated move. Some of you fail to understand that.

We need a leadoff hitter more than we need a motb. Choo has to be the primary focus.

Agree. I do not see why we seem so hesitant to sign Cruz. I think it is reasonable. This may irritate some but if we stand pat i think since 2011 we have not improved as a team but are going the other way around. In 2011 we had 96 wins then 93 and last year 91. What's next? 88.

I agree with Choo being the primary focus. I just think past history concerns some Ranger fans if we miss out on Choo do we miss out on other opportunities while waiting.

and speaking of those wins last year, that's with the Astros in the division.
