I agree.

Like I said, I've been to Arlington once. And I enjoyed it.

It was a game vs the Mariners a few years ago. It went 18 innings, and Soriano hit the walk off.

Great time, I'd go to Arlington again

Ah so it's certainly been a while. It's definitely much different now. Who knows you may end up living in Texas one day lol. A ton of transplants here from your neck of the woods.

If the last time you were in Arlington was when Soriano hit a walk-off, it was more than just a few years ago and it fully explains why you think the Rangers have an attendance problem.

Wasn't trying to be funny.

I've been to Arlington one time, I enjoyed it. Rangers put a solid product on the field as well.

Nice park, good product, should have a higher attendance.

Do you have any idea what you're talking about? Check the attendance for the last 3 years.

He did mention TV broadcasts as well, but yeah that would shape your outlook a great deal.

I hope they get on that then. Would it totally gentrify the area to do so? (FUCCKKKKKK Rangers fans I just got really sad that I will never again get to ask for some GENTRYFICATION in the game :( :( :( :( :( )

I don't know if you know anything about the rooftop owners who have a free view of every game from their rooftop across the street. But, they're bitching up a storm and causing issues for the renovations.

Here's what it is.

The neighbor and the outside of Wrigley are great. Baseball is a way of life for a Cubs fan, and the neighborhood really embraces that.
The view of the field, from the seats, breath taking, love it.

But anywhere inside that shell, meaning the bathrooms and the concessions, is a pure dump. Wrigley is in desperate need of total renovation, while still keeping the look.

I can vouch that this is pretty much true
Honestly though, The Ballpark is more breathtaking as an actual baseball park. Hell, I have Cubs fans/friends that love it there

I looked up Michael Choice's numbers and he breezed right through the A's minor league system. Over the past 4 years he hit, .318-.285-.287-.302. Last year was the .302 season in AAA, where he also drove in 89. Appears he's ready for the next step.

I do understand some's concerns due to him being a rookie though.

Get off page 666 before something bad happens...like an 8 year deal for Choo.

Tough Shit is what I say, the owners of those buildings have been making a bundle and don't pay the Cubs a penny for it.

I've actually sat up there on a roof, it was fun...but it completely sucked as far as trying to watch the game

My aunt married a guy from Texas, and moved to Dallas. Which is why I was at a Rangers game.

We'll all be pulling for him obviously, but yes...it's a lot to expect from a rookie

FYI:
2013: Rangers had 538,591 more fans at RBiA than the Cubs at Wrigley
2012: Rangers had 577,524 more fans at RBiA than the Cubs at Wrigley

Not saying much since the Rangers hold 10k more seats, and the Cubs are a bad team on top of that.

Did seem kinda slow here lately. Terps would pipe in if anything would change before we get it from MLBTR. Not sure what Choo would get out of holding out so long. Doesn't really help Cruz either, waiting on Choo. This place was a ghost town till ChicagoIrish liven things up. I appreciate that, anyways.
