Guys, I just don't see who else even wants choo? Every team besides us has seemingly backed off. I got a reassuring text not long ago that said " Higher ranking scout confirms that seattle can't afford choo. They are focusing on cruz."

So the Reds backed off, the mariners did, the astros just flat out suck. Detroit seems to be doing its own thing at the moment signing fat overrated pitchers. So I mean, where else would he go? He is sorta facing a FA crisis at the moment. No one wants him at his price, and only one team is interested so there is no competition to raise the offer

Boras is probably confident he'll get more for him, I wouldn't try and make any more sense of it than that Terps

I can almost guarantee someone will pay Choo 110 million for 5 in this weak FA market but I hope it isn't the Rangers. Bor"ass" is just milking everyone for more, which is what he's paid to do. I would just rather sign Cruz for half the term and money and pick up a leadoff type guy in Otis Nixon(juan pierre) and a DH type like Morales.

If they don't, he'll get signed for 5 easily

Boras has no sense of urgency to get a deal done.... He can wait til spring training for all we know. The reds are trying to dump their 2B.... What for? I think they want to try and retain Choo. The Yankees have money previously alloted for Cano. I wouldn't count out the LA teams who are always eager to make a big move. Always someone out there trying to make a big move. We learned during the Cliff Lee negotiations a few years ago.... I mean where did philly come from? They seemingly got no headlines until the signing was announced.

In FA aside from Choo, there is really nothing but Juan Pierre which is why I joked about it but he doesn't upgrade anything really. You might as well go w Leonys or EA and try and strengthen the lineup from top to bottom.

I think there are plenty of reasons he should wait. His agent is successful because of it.

Inglorious Basterds is a great movie with Pitt. He cracks me up in that movie.

You're guaranteed nothing until you got something which is why i am concerned. Don't want to end up with option Berkman like last year.

I think if we started to move on by getting serious with Cruz that Choo may get nervous and realize he could lose another suitor.
