Exactly, 31 teams passed on this 1-st Round talent because of his character. Except the Patriots.

By "isn't thorough" you're referring to the ex-FBI Special Agents that do background checks? Just exactly how many arrests and/or accusations of drugs and violence that were front page news in Gainesville did the Patriots not know of?

"We were duped." - Robert Kraft

If you believe that, read the story.

If the Patriots didn't take Hernandez where they did in the 4th round, you don't think someone else wouldn't have taken a shot and drafted him?

There's tremendous ego to think that if he's in our organization we can help him become a good citizen. Hernandez probably would have failed no matter where he went. It just so happens that the Patriots took a gamble with a mid-round pick, they failed. Hopefully they re-evaluated their pre draft process and learned from the mistake.

People with questionable backgrounds get drafted all the time. This doesn't reflect negatively on the Patriots. It's not their fault this guy is completely psychotic.

Did you read the article? They fucking enabled this guy, the whole time denying it and looking the other way!

Oh, absolutely they would have eventually. He was a consensus first-round talent who had already slipped to the 4th round. No doubt Karft and Belichick, in all their arrogance, said "we'll fix him."

Kraft and BB to Aaron " When you go gangbanging and cap some peeps, make sure it's offseason. BTW how much you charge if we need someone removed?" Aaron replies " first one is on the hizzy" as BB and Kraft have no clue what that means. " Well there was this asst we had here that went to coach Cleveland"

If this mass murderer played for the 49ers Sonny'd be all over it. But since it was the Patriots who enabled him, he makes light of it. Hard to respect that, Sonny.

HD wrong I wouldnt be all over it. Hernandez is a low-life creep that human life means nothing to. The 2 guys in Boston didnt even know him. I'm glad he is gonna spend the rest of his life in prison, instead of enjoying that 40 mill contact. What I am making light of is how retarded thas Pats enabled him, sounds. They terminated his contract, once they found out, and not waiting for him to be proven guilty

Oh, that makes it okay then.

Listen, the whole problem started with Kraft's "We were duped" lie. If he had just admitted they made a mistake when they drafted him and looked the other way despite knowing that he was hanging out with known violent criminals at Boston nightclubs in the middle of the night, we could forgive and forget.

You clowns try to distract with your "how could they know he'd kill people." No one is making that accusation. The clear and simple fact is, they took a known violent criminal when NO OTHER TEAM in the draft would because they're arrogant and felt they could "fix him." When it was widely known he was straying into this life, they looked the other way while paying him $40,000,000.

Shame on Robert Kraft and the Patriots for enabling a mass murderer.

What a fool , like they know who he hangs around at 1am in nightclubs. They knew they were taking a gamble and hoped he turned around in college under Meyer ( prayer meetings at his house) but that didnt turn around. But only a real fool thinks they enable him

Sonny, yes or no?

The Patriots have ex-FBI Special Agents on their security staff who were made aware by Boston police of Hernandez' conduct leading up to the last murder.

True or False?

And another question: Did you read the Rolling Stone report? Yes or No?

Hammer honestly I don't know, but your probably right. And to answer your 2nd question no I didnt read it. I'm a Pats fan yes , but not a fan of individual players. Hope that creeps gets raped daily when he goes to the big house. I dont condone wrong doing by any player regardless of team. I never once thought Pats were Holy Rollers and "The Patriots Ways", its a business. They were able to coral Corey Dillon and hoped this kid would straighten out. Kid had so much talent, big contract, pregnant GF and he wants to kill people, inc his GF sisters BF. Then some of his relatives in Ct have mishaps hmmm. Fuck Aaron took at least 3 innocent lives and none are gang related from what I have read.

Read the article. It shatters "The Patriot Way" and exposes Robert Kraft as a greedy liar who turned a blind eye to violent criminal behavior.

I will read it but never thought Kraft as being greedy. I watched the team with the low-life Sullivans in 70's , Kiam in 90's till Kraft took over. Team did a 180. Kraft was offered a paid new stadium in Hartford if he moved the team there and he didnt. He is no Irsay. Again its a business and not a Church. Guys will turn a blind eye, now and then. Never thought of him as saint , but a good quality owner. I think its more on BB, he buys the groceries for the kitchen, not like Parcells

Can you validate this please?

I would think that they just happened to be the first team that decided to take that risk rather than the only team willing to try.

SONNY, here's the Rolling Stone article:
Aaron Hernandez: Patriots Tight End Violent Evolution | Rolling Stone

HAMMER, I didn't really get the same feeling regarding Kraft that you did. I read that AH had almost a split personality, one that obviously killed people, and another where he's kissing Kraft on the cheek and thanking him for taking the chance on him. Easy for Kraft to give him the benefit of the doubt, especially considering I doubt Kraft knew of him capping people while fucking with PCP...I'm guessing Kraft WASN'T privy to this info.

Very good piece, and disturbing, if BB and Kraft weren't aware, it's because they didn't want to be, which is absurdly indifferent to their own peril. BB was obviously aware of some level of this fiasco, this will do nothing to dispel the dark image he has cultivated, Darth Bill with another fat smudge on his cheek. Kraft has damage control no doubt, but should probably start thinking about tightening up his background and pre-screening of potential 7-8 figure prospects.

If Bob Kraft really wanted to know what his employees were doing out on the Boston streets when they weren't working I'll bet he could find out pretty easy.

Good article by Ron Borges.
