this should get interesting once trial gets started. should he get off it will be the ultimate slap in face...gators removed his name from university...patriots cut him..hell he could play this year possibly...lol in all seriousness tho a lot of that was premature..far as I know with ray lewis case Baltimore never did anything like that.

The credibility of all these people will be in question...each of them have lengthy records, and will gain something pointing the finger and Hernandez...that will create reasonable doubt.

No murder weapon...

Yeah, we kinda do know this.

When the story broke last year the NFL network stayed on top of it - and was reporting what the police had on him since they needed a warrant for his arrest.

They reported everything I laid out.

The thread asked what's the hold up on the Hernandez case - and it's because they're taking their time to get their ducks in a row.

What gets me is why Hernandez isn't pushing this. He's entitled to a speedy and fair trial. If he can force the prosecution to go earlier than they want, he might make them throw up a bad case. The longer it takes the more time prosecutors have to make their case air tight.

It is always in the best interest of the defense to delay the case.

Different eras of the NFL. There is more of an emphasis on keeping a clean image now than back in the day. I think there is way too much evidence to say Hernandez was not guilty of something. Even ignoring witness testimony they have him at the scene.

I don't see it happening that way this time. I think Hernandez loses this.

I could see them not being able to prove murder 1 within a reasonable doubt and that would leave the prosecution with relatively little bite to their charges.

It is always in the best interest of the defense to delay the case.

The defense keeps asking for delays, not the prosecution.

Hernandez could run out of money. The families of the guys from the other case have put a court-approved lien on all of Hernandez's real estate, in anticipation of a wrongful-death suit. The Patriots are challenging his signing bonus, too.

And they do have the gun for the other killings.

Welcome to the Pats board DD.

It does seem like this case should be moving along soon. :gossip:

To answer the thread title: AH is being tried for multiple murders, not a hold up.

Hey Sonny, I was wondering if you and Homer had a chance to read the Rolling Stone story yet? :noidea:

And also, what's the final word on merging the threads? Should we merge the cheating and serial killer threads into the Patriots Superthread or not?

yeah hammer I did read RS good read. Yeah why not, merge them al together, the more the merrier. Nobody wants to read about boring white collar team. They want that they can watch Breaking Amish. Dont forget about Donte Stallworth who played for Patriots before DUI and Christian Peters the Nebraska Husker they drafted that was a sexual predator. Snap I know I'm missing a bunch. Thats right Randy Moss shoved a parking maid or something
