Anyone but myself notice that Trout CANNOT lay off high fastballs and can't hit them either...I don't understand why pitchers aren't all over that.

I think it was Romeo that noticed it once too...

High inside fastballs and sliders down and away with 2 strikes.

exactly, just a little inside... the pitch can be at the letters (or a little higher) and once again, it seems like he can't lay off and can't touch them, what he can do is dig balls over the plate, so none of those

I haven't noticed the sliders down and away.
Romeo, get Maddux on the phone

and no fastballs to Hamilton, I don't care if they are down and away....throw him offspeed down and away, he won't lay off
Can you take care of that too?

:D

I hope Martin has a Flak jacket under his uniform tonight. might get a Rib tuneup tonight. Scoscia don't take kindly to Posing and prancing. Bad blood between teams, Angels have nothing to lose.

my first thought when I saw him swing the bat...that is going to earn someone a plunk. Though it will probably be Ian. Angels LOVE to hit Ian.

Would rather see Beltre get a shot in CF/LF over Murphy, and move Soto and Moreland up 1 spot each...

but not going to start a debate about it, just my opinion

I dunno, he looked bad on that 3 pitch strikeout last night. Would be nice to get him some work though for sure.

That was a high pressure situation for a young kid...

Yeah but it's hard to come up in that situation and all you can think about is it might be your last AB for a week. When you are getting no production from a position why not plug someone else in for a few games and see if they can get comfortable or get something going. If not, you have lost out on nothing. Pinch hitting, or getting a few AB's a month is tough for both sides.

Dude's been in the minors for 6 years, should know better than to go up there hacking at high fastballs trying to hit a home run.

Some of your best hitters have terrible pinch hit numbers and AB's as well. I know he had entered the game, but still not a common situation
