Darvish has been a good pitcher for Texas. All I said is he is not an ace. He is not a Verlander, Price, Harvey, Kershaw, Weaver, etc... that we all had him penciled in to be. Maybe some day he will be. But right now, he walks too many, isn't efficient with his pitch counts, and gives up too many HRs.
Exactly

lol. Can't imagine what he would do if traded back to Texas. Not even to think of the fans, but all the crap he talked...it would be awesome.

You guys doubted me when I said we were still the front runners for Garza and that olt wasn't the prospect in question medically... I'm telling you my source doesn't lie!

Haha haven't talked to him in a couple of days. Today he was understandably busy. I'm so glad we kept ramirez and jackson though. I am actually a lot happier with the way the trade turned out then what it was. I value Ramirez higher than Grimm. That is, unless the PTBNL is important, but 99% of the time they arent

I agree. I am not a Grimm fan. I am okay with him moving on.

Go look at MLB trade rumors. We had to up the ante because Oakland went after Garza today.

How much would the As really give for Garza?

It did not say. It did say they wanted Odor who is having a great year at Myrtle Beach. He plays 2nd just in case you did not know. JD questioned Garza's elbow and gave them Grimm instead.

Me either Wasting. Grimm will never develop IMO. We got away with one there I believe
"The Cubs had to accept Grimm instead of second baseman Rougned Odor when the Rangers raised questions about Garza's elbow, tweets Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News."

It also says on traderumors that the question was the rangers about garza though... which logical sense would sorta indicate otherwise. I mean the rangers were the ones asking the cubs about garza, so why would they not know every risk about him medically? Doesn't really add up. I like the traderumors site, I just don't think it, or the sources it quotes, are accurate all the time.

I agree. And Olt was blocked and CJ is pitching great for Hickory but is still a ways from being MLB ready. I really hope we can sign Garza but if not I like the let's win now attitude from the FO.

But wow guys, think about if that IS true. If JD had raised questions about garza's elbow, and oakland got him instead for a lower price? That would be a nightmare.

Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports (via Twitter) that the Cubs can select right-hander Neil Ramirez as the PTBNL in the deal. However, if the Cubs select Ramirez, they will not receive a second PTBNL. Otherwise, they can select two other pitchers from the agreed upon list of names
