correction: would be available in the next round... we still need that WR and OLB... we should trade up... we have the gear to trade

Hope the Seahawks somehow land Quinton Patton. But I have to imagine if he has not been selected yet his workout with the Seahawks must not have been overly impressive.

Didn't see this one coming...
Hope he works out - this draft seems like just one gigantic crapshoot. It may lead to the least HOFers of any draft ever.

Update on Jordan Hill:

Sort of cringing at the fact that Hill was graded as a 4th or 5th round pick.

Didn't scout the draft as much this year as I have in years past so I haven't watched any film on Hill but what I do like is that they added on the defensive line. What I don't like is that it looks as if he could have been had in the 4th or 5th round.

Wow so far it's hard to get excited about our picks.

Has Jordan Hill showed any ability to get pressure up the middle?

I'd would have been much happier if the Seahawks would have took lemonier. I guess time will tell.

Looks like Hill is a rotation guy that will come in on passing downs, but can also play the run decently. A little short, but knows how to use that lower leverage to his advantage. I think he can fit our DT rotational system.

Sounds about right to me.

Marquees Wilson is still on the board and would instantly be the second best receiver behind Harvin.

Well, I'll admit I'm a little puzzled after Day 2.

As an RB prospect, I like Christine Michael-- guy looks like he could evolve into another Marshawn Lynch, except maybe a little quicker (or at least better acceleration). Seems to have a very aggressive attitude, and can make quick decisive cuts without losing speed. Whether the Hawks should have taken a RB prospect in the 2nd round is another question-- especially one with injury concerns, character concerns, and concerns about holding onto the football, all rolled into one.

OTOH, maybe the Hawks are considering moving Robert Turbin to FB in place of MRob, either sooner or later. In any case, am willing to give PC & JS at least a little benefit of the doubt on this pick, if a little grudgingly.

Jordan Hill in the 3rd round is an even bigger puzzle to me. For a DT prospect he shows certain skills, but seems to have below-average physical strength. The Hawks still seem as soft up the gut as the were before this pick. Unless the guy is a fantastic technician, don't see how this pick helps the run defense. Maybe I'm underestimating his value, since he did seem to collect a lot of tackles for losses. And who knows-- maybe he even gets moved to take Red Bryant's position by next year.

If I'm not mistaken, Hawks don't draft until #25 in the 4th Round. Doesn't seem there's any chance that Jesse Williams falls that far. But with PC & JS, no matter who is still available, who nows what to expect.

I think I might be the only one who liked the Michael pick. We now have a 3 headed monster in the backfield. A good running game with fresh legs in the 4th Qtr is a dream to most coaches.

I'm not as sold on Hill, but at the same time, rotation on the Dline is in no way a bad thing. And don't forget, we still got the best playmaker in the 1st round.

I loved the Michael pick, he was one of my top three running backs in the draft along with Stephan Taylor from Stanford and Andre Ellington from Clemson

Cobi Hamilton from Arkansas is a WR I would love the Hawks to get 6'3" deep threat, good run after catch abaility

I admit that I didn't think we'd pick a running back that high and I was a bit confused as to why at first, but it's clear to me now that he was the BPA on Schneider's board. I'm one of those guys who doesn't usually give a strong reaction one way or another about a pick because I honestly don't pay much attention to college football beyond the Huskies and the bowl games, so I wouldn't know who is good and who isn't outside of the guys that get the most press. Beyond that, I trust Schneider and Carroll to pick guys that will do well for this team and I think they've earned that by now. Now that doesn't mean they shouldn't be criticized or anything like that, but the "OMG why did they pick this guy" reaction is a bit much. I wouldn't go making the assumption that Turbin is on such solid footing as the backup that a RB pick that high was unwarranted. For all we know, Michael will come in and out-play Turbin to earn that backup spot and get that playing time for when Marshawn gets a little beat up. I'm taking a wait-and-see approach as always.

After having some time to think about the picks, I'm feeling much better about them.

First off, the Seahawks must see Michael as a stud RB. He does look good on tape. So while it may not impact the Seahawks this season ( barring injuries ) , down the road we'll be praising them for their foresight.

Hill will add to the pass rush and I'm all for that. I want to see the Seahawks be one of the best pass rushing team in the league next season. Hill will help with that.

Now with all the picks Seahawks still have, I'm looking forward to the rest of the draft.

Im excited to see these guys play. How can anyone instantly criticize a pick seemingly based on where someone was projected to be picked. I say who cares pundits have been doing that for as long and PC and JS have been here.

Both these guys look sick on tape. Hill is always in the backfield and move damn good for 300 pounder. Michael also looked good not flashy but seemed to shed blockers like they werent there, quick to the hole and always seemed to fall forward.
