Rhe Rangers will begin playing division opponents with this series against the Mariners. Five of the next seven series will be played against division opponents.

There are signs that the Rangers offense has finally arrived on the scene. I believe the last two games against the Cubs were the first two games so far this season that the Rangers have had ten or more hits. Let's hope that that good hitting continues against Seattle this weekend.

Despite having lost two of three to the Cubs, the Rangers still have the best record in the American League. The only three teams in all of MLB with a better winning percentage are all in the National League West. Two of those teams, the Dodgers and the Giants, are our other opponents in this next twenty-four day stretch where we face mainly division opponents. We should know a whole lot about this team twenty-four days from now.

Hopefully, at the end of that stretch we will have a lot more knowledge about when certain players, who have contributed greatly in the past, will be able to help us again. Evan Carter may be back by then or at least be on the cusp of a return. Cody Bradford should be well into his throwing program by then. Leiter and Langford should both come back before the middle of that stretch. John Gray's return timetable should be in a lot better focus by then.

I think we can take two of three from Srattle, and I think there is a decent chance we could see the Rangers sweep the Mariners.

I do hope Evan HR is signs of better things ahead. Funny he got it to extend the game

He has that clutch gene IMO and surely hope his back and head are on the rebound

Personal note. I am pursuing semi retirement job permitting
Don’t know if I shared but I have been diagnosed a couple years ago with a slow burn cancer called CLL but my health has been fine the last few years other than getting tired more easily which to me is normal
Basically a blood disorder

Probably should pray for you guys more but this is a great site for diversion and a lifelong hobby called Ranger baseball
It is good to discuss civilly which I can always improve upon

Hoping for many years ahead and the prognosis is very encouraging so likely many years ahead

I wonder what happens when Carter is ready to come back up and Langford is back. I don't think Taveras has any options left. They have shown they are going to keep another backup MIF in addition to Smith. That only leaves one spot on the bench and surely that is going to go to Pillar. Would they have a trade partner as early as the first half of May to trade Leody to?

We have all lost people/ loved ones many to cancer I now I have and now have others struggling through very rough health so I feel blessed

Of course it had been brought up that people we have interacted with, respected on this site have left and we wonder if health challenges that may have resulted in death is the reason

I hate to wonder so methinks it is good to come clean but I have a rated G version of you care to look up
I consider myself fortunate

But cheers to all who have left us and thanks to all who have remained. I appreciate you all

Re Dustin
I got to see him play a few games in Frisco a few years ago and was not but impressed but he now seems he hits the ball harder and is better defensively
Hope to see him despite these late games MLB needs to fix
Realignment

I was looking back at some old posts the other day and noticed there are some guys who posted on here just a few years back and now they are gone. Guys like @DTC and DaryllGann are missed. Windingmywatch left several years ago.
