For this last vote I'm going back to Ohtani just because. Was going to do some signalling vote wasting on players I loved like Frank Thomas but nah.

I think I am going Bench/Kershaw/Ott here. But I may consider Trout, Yogi, or Lajoie.

I would LOVE to get behind Josh Gibson or Satchel Paige, but I think throwing in one of them here would be kinda hypocritical of the project we have run to this point.

Trout is the best player of his era, right?

Of one decade, yes. Pujols was best of the 2000s (Bonds has a case there), Trout of the 2010s
Pujols in general just had a better career (so far) but Trouts prime is top 10. He just needs 3-4 more seasons of above average play and he is likely a top 20 lock.

Trout has a much higher WAR than Kershaw in three fewer seasons. I know WAR for pitchers isnt everything but I just think Trout should be on the list.

Trout is definitely one of the 15 or so players remaining with a legit claim to this spot

This is it?

Since we have no catcher or reliever, I'm going with Bench & Mo...

And, Ripken - because I remember my eyes watering when he broke the Iron Man record...

This proves we need to get Tom Seaver in there.

His first ten seasons is some of the finest pitching ever. Ended up with 311 wins as well.
I do think Kershaw and Alexander should be higher but Seaver is in my top 10 remaining players.

If Kershaw gets in here, I'd probably go with the following 31-40:
31. Mike Trout
32. Mel Ott
33. Nap Lajoie
34. Grover Alexander
35. Eddie Mathews
36. Joe Morgan
37. Eddie Collins
38. Tom Seaver
39. Kid Nichols
40. Dan Brouthers

I'm stuck on Kershaw vs Mo. Leaning Kershaw tho.

The one thing about Mo, and it's really picking fly shit out of pepper, he might be the greatest closer of all time but doesn't have the greatest season of a closer.

Decides to throw my 2nd and 3rd votes to Bench and Ohtani. I think those 2 squaring off would be an interesting discussion
