Me too. I think sometimes people get too hung up on scheme and come up with reasons why good players aren’t good picks.

A guy named Watt playing in Pittsburg did not fit our scheme a few drafts back is a perfect example.
He seems to be working out quite well for them. The guy we picked instead? He is Out of the league

Both were solid players for the Cowboys and I wish them both nothing but success. Ya can’t keep them all like the old days. And another tip of the cap to Will McClay for finding them .

Ive seen Young play a lot more than Stroud so Im probably biased. Of course Im basing it on college as well. Different game in the NFL. Alabama's last 4 QBs - Hurts , Tua , Mac Jones , Bryce Young. This is the way I would rank them coming out of Alabama . 1. Young. 5. Tua 6. Jones 7. Hurts. In other words to me it wasnt even close. The only negative I saw with Young was his slight build.

It is crazy though how well Stroud has played. He arguably has the best numbers in the NFL for QBs. Like I mentioned , he isnt exactly throwing to Randy Moss , Jake Reed , and Cris Carter either.

Man I think he just might help late in the season. Huge target, good speed and competitive. Off the field he is a knucklehead but I think he is a rental anyway
