The Eagles are stone cold locks to win the NFC again, right?

Lions always find a way to Lion

They look to be favorite in NFC, but they'll bungle on the way
I mean, they look to be good but don't most think the Eagles and Niners are better? That said, #1 seed for the Lions looks shakier after Sunday

Detroit’s defense is still bottom third of the league. It’s not going to end up anywhere near as horrible as last season. But it’s far from good.

Not having to face Kelce week 1 was huge. Not just for getting a win they wouldn’t have got otherwise, but in avoiding the narrative of being a team with a strong offense and no defense.

The other two games against solid playoff worthy teams, they gave up a combined 75 points.

5-2 looks much better than 4-3. And has them in the drivers seat for the division. But it doesn’t change the fact the team is very thin on the defensive side of the ball.

Fortunately Chicago and Green Bay are terrible, so it's just the Vikings

Chicago is awful.

Not ruling GB out yet. But it is looking they also suck way more than I’d assumed.
Green Bay is no threat to Detroit this year

Eagles still have a lot of work to do. This stuff is way too premature. The NFL season is a grueling marathon. You want to be the best team in December and January. I would slot the Eagles no higher than 5 right now.

Packers are terrible right now... especially the offense in first halves. Does not appear MLF has the answer... mini bye followed by a bye and issue persisted after the extra time for both games. Packers 6 points total in first half in last 4 games.

Packers have had a lot of injuries and lost 3 games by a combined 7 points..... with some bounces could be 5-1, but that would not be very reflective of this team.

They are the youngest team in the league, especially on offense and believe some of the is leading to the inconsistency on offense. They are prone to critical errors at the wrong time... so not surprising they are 1-3 in close games due to lack of experience and injuries.

The biggest disappointment may be the rush defense... thought they had pieces in place to be much improved... but apparently not the case.

Packers fortunate Jefferson out next week when they meet... but still think Vikings win at Lambeau after watching them vs SF.

Big game next week for sure.

They have plenty of room to improve. That’s why I’m not ruling them out yet.

The part I watched the kid looked pretty good by your comment I obviously missed something
Your eyes didn't deceive you at all, but he might be referring to the fact that the Bears had Bagent on a super short leash. It was a classic paint-by-numbers performance and make no mistake about it, the kid handled his paint job flawlessly. But there's no way the Chargers are going to allow him that same brush. I expect them to come out of the gate stacking the box and most likely throwing a lot more blitzes at the kid than the way the Raiders played it. Bagent will have to show more to prove he belongs at the very least as a quality backup.

i didn't see any of the game. i know the raiders remain a circus act and just figured it was more raider thud.
You're in part correct. Bagent did play a solid game in a very limited type of role, but he benefitted from a curiously vanilla defensive effort by the Raiders.

i was thinking what did I miss. I did not get to watch the whole game but the red zone pieces I saw were pretty good. I hope he does well against the Chargers.
