Let me ask you this skinsdad and board folks, why has rivera/Mayhew neglected the OLine?

Did they believe our players and free agents were better than they are?

Did they not properly evaluate the free agents and draft picks?

Is OLine not a priority in their overall team strategy...kinda like linebackers?

I am not trying to be funny and am curious what the reason or reasons are.

I think Rivera has done what he was brought here in Washington to do. Provide cover for Snyder and bring some sense of organization and professionalism to the team. He has done that and it is time for him to go. He is great guy and an average coach at best. I wish him well but it is time to move on.

I wonder what their strategy is or was.

I think Rivera always wanted to build an elite defense first and collect offense talent each year to build then offense. His inability to target a qb from the get go always puzzled me.

Perhaps Dean can shed some light on it as he follows Rivera more than I do.

You are here to convince everyone that Rivera could and should be our savior. You have done it for 4 years and I have argued with you for 4 years. You deflecting any and all blame from rivera proves my point. I dont think you realize that you are doing it.

Nothing gives you a rush like someone agreeing with you or being overly excited about Rivera or the team. County said he thought we might get 12 wins and you said " I love your optimism". It was an absurd statement and it proving to be laughable.

Many posters including myself tried to tell you wentz wasn't the qb, but you refused to listen. It had to take the Cleveland game for you to realize you were wrong and that wentz suxed. He is out of the league Dean.

You and i argued about Scott Turner, again, you tried to convince me his offense would work. I told you for 3 years turner was bad. You finally admitted it after the CLE game.


I have told you for 4 years Rivera wasn't the guy. You finally admitted he stinks as a GM but contradict yourself by saying if he wins a playoff game, you want to keep him. What will you do when Rivera is fired?

Why would Vegas select that as the total? We are year 4 into riveras rebuild, yet, we are not projected to be .500? Did that not concern you at all?

The point of my responses is to understand why you are supporting Rivera.
To me, it makes little sense for you or anyone to be undecided on Rivera at this point period. I cant see how a single game overrides years and years of information we have on him. We have 3 going on 4 years of frustration and disappointment.

If I am tracking here:
Rivera goes to the playoffs and loses game 1, he is gone.

Rivera goes to the playoffs and wins game 1, welcome back coach Rivera for 2024.

Is this correct? I am not asking what you think harris will do...I am asking you what you personally want to happen. You keep dodging the issue and refuse to say why you would want rivera to stay here and you refuse to answer my questions.

I agree, Rivera should have been fired....but it wasnt logical as harris took over too late. 3 years is plenty of time to show what you can do. Rivera improved 1 game in 3 years. That is bad. Make no mistake, Rivera is here not because of his performance, it is because there was not enough time to build a new front office.

We had Zorn and Spurrier just 2 years each right? The fact that you are still on the fence and 1 game and 1 game only will shape your opinion is just crazy to me. Again, past performance generally indicates future actions Dean. We have to rely on harris previous actions because that is all we have to go on with how he will probably handle our situation.
