I knew Dallas' offense wasn't really much going into the game but I'm really surprised by the Dallas' D. I know they didn't beat great teams but the D dominated them like you should if you play bad teams.

Guess this takes them out of the running for being considered the best D in football and right now I think you could argue between the 9ers, Ravens, or Browns for that spot

The difference between Purdy and Jimmy G is mainly Purdy is way smarter and way better at processing the field, has just enough of an arm to threaten outside the numbers though it's not his strength, and he's more mobile so he can better do the bootleg game and move around to extend plays.

If Purdy was the QB from 2019 season onward I'd argue the 9ers probably have two titles in that span.

I'd agree with this assessment. Purdy basically understands who he is and what he can do. He puts in the work during the week in the film room so most things he sees don't surprise him, so far, and doesn't try to do things he isn't capable of or max out his ability. He reads the D very well, again that film study helps him, and throws to the right guy.

He also has a couple things that are really working in his favor, and props to him for taking advantage. Firstly is that run game really makes teams commit 7 and 8 up to the box. SF usually isn't in 3rd and long situations, and when they are he usually gets time and throws to the right player. They're not going to convert them all, but great pass protection knowing where to throw the ball give him a great shot at converting. As an added bonus we can go back to him knowing his limitations and not trying to do too much. Plus, with the D in San Fran, punting is a heck of a lot better situation than turning it over.

I have to say that he's a very difficult player to cheer against or hate on, so far. I say so far because I haven't seen a bunch of people kneeling at the altar or blowing him in the media on a regular basis, you know, Manning, Brady, Rodgers, and you can fill in the rest. Those guys tend to get the hate because people usually tire of people fawning all over them. So, for now I will not say anything negative about him, and actually I'm really glad he's not on a division opponent, so I could understand Seattle, Rams and Cards fans hating if they do.

Lastly, I haven't seen him yet late in the game and trailing by a score. I'd like to see how he handles it, IE is the moment too big or is he the same guy that's just taking care of his business and doing the right things. I wish this kid nothing but success until he gives me reason bid him something else.

To be fair the Dallas offensive talent was better under Garrett than it has with McCarthy. The offensive line and Zeke were in their primes under Garrett and that strong running game made life a lot easier for Dak.

Also Dak was more mobile until those leg injuries basically have killed his mobility.

But McCarthy should go anyways and he's just another mediocre coach Jerry likes because he wants a coach he can be buddies with and talk football with over and you're not going to find a strong head coach that wants to be besties with the owner.

There's something to be said for playing out a full college career in a less talented program as well and learning how to deal with adversity. But yeah, he just doesn't rattle at all. Like we all know, between the ears is what separates the good QBs from the average and I think this kid is really smart and just gets it.

Dak is no longer mobile with the injuries and without that, he is just another guy. Similar to Russ who if memory serves, Dak was compared to early in his career. Add to that, less talent around him, a shitty coach and you get a team that beats up on scrub teams and can't hold up vs. the big boys. And Dak, like Daniel Jones is just overpaid because of the stupid current QB contract situation in the league.
