I'm guessing so. The typical punters and kickers last one season, maybe two seasons with a team before either moving on elsewhere or being flushed out of the NFL.

The difference between Purdy and Jimmy G is mainly Purdy is way smarter and way better at processing the field, has just enough of an arm to threaten outside the numbers though it's not his strength, and he's more mobile so he can better do the bootleg game and move around to extend plays.

If Purdy was the QB from 2019 season onward I'd argue the 9ers probably have two titles in that span.

Dumb on Dallas' part. What Lance desperately needs if he's going to be anything is actual live NFL reps and this would've been a great chance to get him some.
