Well the Cowboys did nothing with their chance to take the lead. And Guerendo gets the 1st and the Niners win it 30-24. Niners dominant 3rd quarter and strong second half offense, plus the 2 Dak picks, made the difference.

It's Guerendo...not that it matters. He doesn't have a lot of miles on him from CFB, he backed up at Wisconsin for 4 years and then finally played more regularly when he went to Louisville last year. He doesn't have that blazing speed that the 49ers usually have back there, but he is usually dependable. That missed block on the 2nd last 49ers drive wasn't good, but he's young and should be fine.

True but if we head our healthy squad I think we would be rolling right now. Injuries with this team year after year it seems like. 4-4 with the injuries we have and players we have lost for the season, honestly is ok since we are tied for division yet

I think one thing a lot of people miss is how many extra games teams that make the playoffs year after year play, especially when they make a deep run. Those extra games really wear on the guys that play, especially the starters and guys that play a lot. I think Bill Walsh had the right idea when he talked about getting the best 3 to 5 years out of guys and then replacing them. They just get so beat up that their effectiveness goes down. Fans love to fall in love with specific players, but when the production goes down the teams need to replace them with more productive guys. It's just the nature of the NFL and the brutal toll it takes on the players physically.
