That kid is a real competitor. He's not the 2nd coming IMO, but he does everything very well, and competes his butt off play after play. Kind of like the kid you guys have from NDSU at fullback. I really like those kinds of players. Might not be the most talented, but they're giving you everything they have every time they're in.
Leupke is a stud, he was a beast at NDSU. Watched a lot of him

I realize Jeanty has been playing Mountain West teams, but he really demolished everyone he played. His worst game I watched was vs UNLV, and they put 8 or 9 guys within 3 yards of the LOS all night and he still got his licks in. He's a good back, but I'm honestly not a fan of grabbing RBs in round 1. More of a big guys early and skill guys later.

Penn St had the way more physical team. They should've blown them out but the play calling was just awful by Penn St. Boise couldn't handle the power run game and the moron was calling deep passes and late developing runs. Whatever...it's a win for Penn St

not saying Boise souldn't be in the tournament, but first round bye showed to be a huge gift for playing lesser competition. Probably should be on rare occasions you see non power 4 conferences get the bye. Great to solid college players on both sides, bigger difference tonight was the roster talant.

as mentioned earlier, not a Penn State fan and that pretty much starts and ends with Franklin.

Happy New Year !

Happy New Year !

Honestly I was a huge fan of CFB, but NIL, transfer portal and this super conference stuff kind of makes it nonsense to me. I see Universities and institutions of higher learning, not a paycheck to students. I do believe the student athletes in revenue generating sports should be compensated, but some of the stuff going on that I've read about just makes NIL ridiculous. If they're institutions of higher learning, what they hell are these guys learning by transferring to a different school every year.

I'll admit that I'm a Wisconsin fan, but not really any more. I used to very much enjoy watching kids go into the program, learn their craft and get better by the year. Some of the very best made it to the NFL and had fabulous careers, in fact some are the best of their time or thought of as such, and mostly weren't that when they started off at UW. They came in as kids, learned the craft and developed themselves into professionals. That part of the game seems lost to me, so it's less interesting now than it ever has been in my lifetime.

Either way, I don't wish ill on any of those kids, but it's just not interesting or as interesting to me as it once was.

I read today Texas QB Ewers sits today as a 3rd round pick to make between 5 to 6M over 4 years should he make the team. Seems he's had a couple teams reach out about transfer portal @ 6M for one more year of seasoning.
crazy times

I read that about Ewers as well. With Manning behind him it would make sense to take the money, but I also understand if he goes pro.

At this point HS ball is about as pure as it gets. Nobody is getting paid and they're playing because they love the game and competition. Too many guys in the pros and now college play for the money. Whatever, get what you can get I guess.
