I have no idea how to evaluate Patriots draft. But, we got a kicker and a punter, which believe it or not, were big needs :)
And you guys got Christian Gonzalez, can't believe he fell that far.

That was a good one. Reminds a bit of a young Gilmore.

Seahawks: A+

When you have Fanbases that can bicker, and Seahawks fans can tell you that me and another one are, about how good your team is. They are something Special.

Witherspoon helps us because not only is he a Physical badass but he now gonna force teams to choose to throw Woolens way.

JSN is a quiet need. Lockett is getting up there in the age and he provides 10-15 years of a Amazing tandem of Metcalf-SN

Hall helps the run Game, which is a huge need, and Provides a Power guy to rush the pass

Chabotte is a questionable pick but can't argue with 2 bellcows................

Bradford is a Mauler at a PON back when we were a SB winner

Young is a Run Stuffer. HUGE NEED

Morris i see as a chess piece. 6'6/295 IMO could swing either way on the DL Front.

Olusegun Oluwatimi: See Bradford. Also a Decorated OL

Reed is Small but he has good traits. Could be a star if coached well

McIntosh is a ST.

Eagles killed it. For awhile they have really needed to find away to inject a lot of young cornerstone players on our defense and over the past two drafts and especially this one Howie seems to have done it. Big fan of all of the defensive players we took, 3 of which are from Georgia. Eagles now have 5 of the starters on that historically great Georgia championship defense. Plus that safety they got from Illinois Sydney Brown seems like a total ball hawk with incredibly impressive reaction time to adjust for deflected balls. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch.

Getting this very physically and athletically talented but raw OT/OG from Alabama to bring some quality depth as he develops under Stoutland and learns behind the Eagles great and Hall of Fame experienced offensive line. That's a great move. He could potentially become something with that development and maybe in a year or two step in starting at right guard when Kelce retires and they swing Jurgens in to center from right guard.

Trading for DeAndre swift is amazing too. They needed to come away with a RB in this draft and the Lions committing so high in the draft to Gibbs made Swift available and Howie swooped in for the price of a 4th rounder in 2025 which the Eagles the Eagles could potentially get as a comp pick in 2025 if Swift has a big year and leaves in free agency next year to a big contract from another team. Second year in a row that Howie during the draft makes a trade for a young talented veteran offensive skill player. If he can stay healthy he can be lethal in the Eagles offense. Swift, Rashaad Penny, Gainwell and Boston Scott for the Giants games is a pretty damn good RB by committee to roll with. Eagles should be able to rotate to keep guys fresh and hopefully healthy.

And then not to be done Howie made a huge UFA signing after the draft. Siposs fell apart last year and he had a terrible punt at the end of the Super Bowl. They signed Ty Zentner who has an incredible leg. A total blue chip punting prospect. He can also kick FGs and not just kick FGs but hit 50+ yard FGs. Useful if Jake Elliott were ever to get injured in a game.

Wait, so no Hall of Fame for Siposs and you are actually going to come on here and state getting rid of him was a huge UFA signing after calling him the best punter in the game and going on and on about it for weeks? I can’t tell when you are drunk and when you aren’t, so I just assume you are drunk all of the time at this point

I happen to love the picks. Yes other teams such as Philly had outstanding draft picks but I'm ok with the needs being filled.
I believe it's a process in the "Dawn of a New Dynasty "
Pickettsburgh!!
Just to be clear. I was more than ok with the picks and filling needs. But this appears special because we filled needs while getting great value at the same time, double yes.

Looks like the Lions were a bit thrown off when the Hawks drafted Devon Witherspoon... I'm assuming that they thought they had a great shot at drafting him with their #6 overall pick... Seems like they didn't get the value they could've when trading down, which led me to think that they were caught off guard a bit and were trying to pedal the pick when they didn't they didn't believe they'd have to... I could be wrong, just my perspective when they were on the clock at #6...
They were so heavily linked to him.

I'd give Seattle a solid B+.

Addressed major needs across the OL, secured the DBs and WR group for years... a much needed 40% split carry RB in Charbonnet, but basically outside of Young entirely ignored the ILB and interior DL position.

Improved and solidified a ton of areas, but I still expect teams to run well against Seattle next year. It was one of those drafts where they couldn't fix everything, granted. Fixing the run is harder than fixing the pass.

Also, I believe they needed to give Mac Jones another chance with a proper OC in O’Brien. And they have Zappe, who delivered some exciting games as back up. Jury is still out on whether Mac can deliver. QB was not a real need in this draft. There are a few more pressing things that need to be addressed.
They also added Adrian Klemm who should be able to coach up that oline. I see good things from NE this year.

Wish they had used a 6th/7th or could've gotten FB Luepke undrafted. A beast to open up holes for Stevenson. Oh well.

Having said that the AFCE all improved. That division is going to be an ass kicker.

For a team without a first round pick, that's a lot of draft picks. My Bills only had 6 picks.

Bennett was a gamble in the 4th round. A lot of people projected him as a 7th round or undrafted free agent. The thing about Bennett is, he's a winner. Arguably one of the best college football quarterbacks of all-time. The guy showed up big-time in the biggest college football games. That's worth a lot in the merit column. What is holding him back is the size and perception of being a "system QB". People see him more as a Kellen Moore, Chase Daniels, or Jake "State Farm" Fromm type of guy rather than a Bryce Young or Kyler Murray type. We will see. They could be dead wrong and the Rams have a franchise QB on their side. I think it is a good pick for them.
It really helps having Stafford to help, this is also really McVay's first time drafting a qb. So Bennett should have little to no excuses.

Your best pick was a UDFA signing. The Sledgehammer
I'm not sure I'd call that the best pick but I think he makes the 53. Cowboys always have at least one UDFA on the initial roster and he has very little in front of him keeping him off the roster. They have no short yardage back, no pass protecting backs, he can play FB/HB, he can catch and at 230lbs looks like he'd be a good STs guy.

The best pick to me was Fehoko in the 4th. If he is who I think he will is, he'll get penetration on both run downs and passing downs and at 276lbs he may hold up better against the run right at him than any DE that they have other than Tank and Quinn will move him inside in the nickel. Should fit nicely into their DL rotation which should be better with Mazi added to Hankins in the middle next year

I believe in drafting financial value with the top 50 or 60 picks. I'd draft high value positions over low value positions even if the low value position player was considered to be a slightly better player. Picking a G at #36 is probably a waste, especially since the Rams don't like to pay FA money for 2nd contract Gs and the 2023 season will be re-tool season. meh. Just pick good players that in rounds 3 & 4 regardless of position. After that by all means gamble on superior athletes with missing skills or personality issues, or fill needs. I'm glad I wasn't a Lions fan for this Draft. If the Rams had picked RB, ILB, TE, then S i'd have been really upset.
While I get your point and hear it made often, I totally disagree with overthinking it like this. If you have comparable players ranked when it's your turn to pick, then absolutely, for the same reason you try to get a QB late in round 1 over early in round 2 even if it means a trade up. But, if you pass on a better player because of this I think it is a huge mistake made by front office people who never played the game. 5 years of a potential All Pro trumps any of the intangible aspects of the draft. :2cents:

Steelers - Perfect Draft
Panthers - Pretty Good Draft

49ers - With your second pick, you get a kicker?!?! And don't address O-Line?!?! You just expect your defense to keep you in games huh? lol
Probably the worst pick of the draft IMO

I'm ecstatic about Patriots top picks.
Happy with middle picks
Best 7th round pick in draft.

"experts" (blowhards) dissing the Pats taking a Kicker and a Punter.
We had the worst 2 punters in NFL and got the best one available.
We had a 40 year old kicker and took the best one available.

The team is improved by this draft. Maybe a lot!
Holy crap, did you draft both a punter and a kicker?!?!?! I missed that

I think the thing that makes me pause when it comes to the Chiefs draft is Rashee Rice WR SMU. Clark Hunt, the owner of the Chiefs, went to SMU. On the Chiefs 'phone call' he mentions it and Veach mentions getting him as a top priority. He did work out with Mahomes so they at least tried things out but it does feel a bit like an 'good old boys' kind of pick.

Did locking onto him impact their ability to move up in rd1 and get Mazi Smith? There were two trades in front of Mazi Smith involving the Jaguars but its also possible the Jaguars didnt want to trade with the Chiefs considering we beat them twice last year. Dallas obviously didnt want to trade down because they wanted to pick him.

The Tennessee WRs both went about a rd later so its entirely possible that their stock was wildly inflated going into this and Rashee Rice went were he should have.

I know that the Eagles had a great weekend because all of my social media feeds are littered with people trying to run it down and criticize it. That only happens when your team killed it.

They drafted a bunch of over rated head case, problem children who will all be out of the league within two years...at least that's what I'm telling myself
