It was you. It wasn't manster. Manster has been relatively quiet.
Well if I disagreed with you on whatever the particular topic is that you seem to be all pissy over, it would just prove I was right.

Yup I was right again @jarntt

Howie is a cap master that has his team back at the top of the league when dallas fan losers around here said the cap would kill us.

Now I remember @jarntt was embarrassed on these forums years ago on this very topic :pound:

And now that it has all played out. Now that the Eagles fans and Howie were proven correct. He is still acting as stupid as he was then. :pound:

After @jarntt and his cowboy misfit buddies declared the Eagles to be in cap hell, Howie really rubbed it in jarntt's face.

Howie:
- Paid a top free agent DT
- Resigned his own now 11-sack young DE
- Traded for and paid a top WR
- Traded for and paid a top CB
- Paid his top LT that he drafted at the end of the draft
- Paid his young TE
- Paid a top free agent pass rusher

Howie is a cap master. Jarntt is a loser and clearly knows nothing about managing the cap.

If you don't understand simple math, I can't help you

It is simple math. Simple math combined with timing. That's what Howie knows and you don't have a clue about.

Every offseason you say the same thing and every offseason you are proven wrong by reality.

The following is irrefutable...
Howie:
- Paid a top free agent DT
- Resigned his own now 11-sack young DE
- Traded for and paid a top WR
- Traded for and paid a top CB
- Paid his top LT that he drafted at the end of the draft

Not sure what the history of this conversation but I would add that Howie is a cap magician. Not sure how or why but he has a grip on finagling the cap and cheating the system with restructures so that he can kick the can down the road in perpetuity.

Neither am I. Howie has indeed mastered the use of kicking the can down the road (I've probably used this term100 times for him) and especially through his voidable, dead year thingy that he started with a few years ago. Now whether that makes him a cap genius or just selling out the future for the present is where differences may exist. But the word "magician" I'm good with. Sleight of hand, illusion, etc

I could talk baseball with Mass Holes all day long. Even women and children up there are well schooled on that sport. Football? Nah. Bunch of casuals drawn to the winning with Belichick and Brady.
I could talk eating shit and climbing greased poles with Philadelphia folks all day. They get it!

I'll just assume you posting a book of what you posted some other time before has meaning
Every offseason you say the same thing about the Eagles cap and every offseason you are proven wrong by reality.

You confuse someone who said "couldn't" with me. Shouldn't and dumb do not mean couldn't. I've pointed out the dead money on the back end of the contracts before and you can pretend it isn't a potential albatross but you'd be a moron to do so. And it is the reason why money is freed up in the current year. I can look at your contracts now and come up with $20M to move into future years but that doesn't mean it's smart to do.

He did all that with their QB on a rookie deal. Let's see how his genius works when they pay Hurts 50 mil plus.

That'll add another accomplishment to the list.

You missed it during the previous discussion, or weren't smart enough to remember, but I will educate you. The Eagles paid their QB.

His name was Carson Wentz. He was on the books for half of the listed Howie accomplishments. It was the biggest dead money hit in history.

Howie is a cap magician. It's beautiful.

It’s even easier to do because you don’t have to renegotiate 3 or 4 guys to free up money. Now you have a huge contract going to one guy making it easier to free up space when you renegotiate.

You’re into some weird shit but I don’t judge.
I've been thinking about all our exchanges since you came on board early September.
I see it now and really have just one question.
Do you sound like Angelo Cataldi?
I hear his voice when I read your insults and spins.

It’s funny that you bring him up. I can’t stand the man! He’s not even pure bred Philly he’s from Rhode Island or some shit. Life long Yankee fan. He’s the original hot take king that loves to stir the pot. I’m glad he’s gone.

@Chief Cola
I mostly agree but think about what it was like before the rookie salary cap.

Matt Stafford got $41.7 million guaranteed before he ever took a NFL snap in 2009.

He won his first playoff game in 2022. With the LA Rams.

Yeah. The rookie salary cap was a blessing for vet players.
I always remember Jamarcus Russell contracts.
Russell signed a 61 mil deal without ever taking a snap & sucked the whole time he was in the NFL.

edit: quoted the wrong post LOL

Go ahead and keep shooting your mouth Mr. Knowitall. Some of us have been Patriot fans since before your baby ass saw the light of day. Spew your hatred and talk out about our team and fans, which you know jack shit about.

I don’t even doubt it. If you’re being honest you would own that there just weren’t that many of you and all of that changed when the winning started.

Am being honest. I think most Pats fans today are hard core. Grew up with baseball as a kid in Cincy, hence the Reds, and chose my NFL team in high school in the 70s, and it kind of stuck. Sure they sucked for a long time, but made a SB back in the 80s and had some really good players throughout the years.
