But, there is another route….

3 team trade, 4 team trade….

You just need to reroute Westbrook someplace that will give the Nets an asset that they want.

That means giving up both picks.

Just an example….

Send Westbrook and picks to a team that has something Toronto would want, send Vanfleet to the Nets, send Kyrie to the Lakers.

You might be able to sell KD on that.

You aren’t selling him on Westbrook.

Oh I completely agree. The Lakers don't have jack to offer. Even those 2 firsts aren't super desirable.

But, and again this is a big BUT, if Kyrie refuses to go anywhere else and refuses to play for the rest of the season.

5 cents on the dollar is a terrible deal, but not if you can't spend or touch that dollar.

Both firsts unprotected would be the minimum needed to start a conversation around Russ for Kyrie.

Anything less and they might as well call the bluff and let him walk. Try to win this season.

Even then, 2 firsts not enough IMO.

I would like the Clippers to go for FVV, Conley, Kyrie in that order.

My reasoning is pretty simple.

If the Clippers don’t win this year, they are going to blow this shit up in the Summer anyway.

There is ZERO chance this team survives another playoff implosion.

Just read a straight Kyrie for Westbrook swap would technically work (because of the Kyrie trade bonus)....
