It means the roster spot does not need to be provided yet. Fine by me either way but I hope we trade him
can't trade him until the seasons over and who would trade for him without seeing if he's recovered which means ST

Observations from Seattle vs San Diego-Castillo has been lights out pitching for Seattle and Soto has not done much for San Diego.

Are you trying to pigeon hole me lol?

Despite him doing well in AAA albeit not spectacular. I see his swing and what he tries to do with it. He has trouble with the FB high uo and above 96. So he needs work on that.
I hope AAA can provide it. To my amateur eye he does not go with the pitch enough.

It is not always about the analytics
I am looking for your reasoning. Reasoning that would be consistent no matter who the player is.

Let me ask you this. Why should some players be required to work things out in the minors while some get to work things out in the majors?

I mean, once those guys have put up good numbers in the minors, isn't what they need to learn from that point on, is how to hit in the majors?

Of all of the young guys who have struggled for an extended period of time this year, is Josh Smith the only one you saw as out of whack when he struggled. I mean, haven't the following guys all struggled for prolonged periods this year?

Taveras
Thompson,
Huff
Duran
Garcia
Lowe

After they struggled for awhile did they need another year at AAA?

I just think at some point you decide if you think a guy is going to play well or not and you make a decision and decide if you are going with him or not. You mentioned Elvis earlier and that is exactly what they did with him. If you decide to go with them you let them work their way out of prolonged slumps with the help of a qualified hitting coach assisting him in the majors You don't have to have the patience they had with Odor, but you should have more than they did with Steele Walker though. Not that Walker warranted any more than he got, just using that as a baseline standard. That is where the patience comes in.

Mathias is on fire. Beasley better not take him out of the lineup.

Well I may not be consistent but to me Josh is blocked at his best position SS and I want him to play daily and to be in AAA helps his value
I would like to keep him and would hope he is more than a utility player but that could happen but it sure look like Mathias is good for that

I had no problem with Huff staying up if he could get regular work especially at catcher where he has the most value. Looks like this going to happen for the rest of the season so that is good.
Funny this is the maybe irrational me. I am not 100 % sold on Leody although the numbers prove me wrong and am hoping for the best

Thompson has surprised me but we could easily still upgrade in LF
