When Garver went on the IL he should have been up here and been the DH. But our two idiot managers, Woody and Beasley want to play Miller or Calhoun every day. Neither has a future when the Rangers.

Have to agree with that. He had the hit bat and they put him in the shelf. I don’t go mind him getting AAA playing time as he surely did not need to sit and play sporadically up here

I would like to see Thompson lead off now to see how he handles it and just push everyone down one notch and give him the green light to steal every time there’s no one on second. Small sample but his OBP is higher than Semien’s now.

This is the fundamentals that is glaringly missing

Yep, the word, "needed" should have had the qualification that to the managers/front office he was not needed. I definitely thought he should be up here playing.

Other than Winn and Alexy, I think our pitching prospects have done very well this year, overall. Some lower level guys struggled for extended times, but they wouldn't be close to coming up if they had pitched great all year.

I was thinking the same thing. He’s now batting 305.

Actually you are correct he has had enough time at the MLB level to lose his prospect status
