If true, this is unacceptable. Bostic has been a terrible player in his tenure with WSH. In 2019, he literally graded out at one point as the worst MLB in the NFL. I am fine with cutting Mayo, however, shouldn't we bring in a younger, talented player to address depth?

I am tired of the nepotism of River and his refusal to address problems. Signing a broken-down Jon Bostic is incompetence at the highest level. How can anyone defend this signing?

This regime gets worse....and worse. The circus needs to stop!

RR is asking to be fired with his decision making
CountryRoads316-

He doesn't even care at this point. He has total control and can do whatever he wants...and he is right. He knows Dan and Tanya aren't going to do anything as they have their hands full.

He is literally helping out buddies and people who are yes men. I never thought he would give Bostic a 2nd chance. I am speechless.

Glad to see Apke and Danny Johnson make their way back. You always want guys on the PS that have seen plenty of playing time. Apke is solid on ST.
It is almost like the old days of Gibbs the first tour when he stashed players on IR. With a bigger PS and more availability to move guys it is almost like having a 69 man roster. I like it. They kept guys they know and guys they can plug if there is an injury.

And this staff has shown that they are clueless and build teams that average 7 wins.

Still waiting on the evidence that Rivera is a model GM and can lead a healthy, successful front office.

That is the danger of the coach-centric model; the coach wants "yes men" and players/coaches he is familiar with. The GM could not care less about familiarity/friendship and wants talent...period

What a joke!
All things considered...Rivera has done well with what he has had...LOL

Question: Why would the fans want a coach who has 3 winning seasons in 11 years also lead a front office as well?

Still waiting for someone to answer that one.

Because the state that the Skins are in, that's probably the best they can do at the moment.

The owner has been accused of overseeing a workplace where sexual misconduct has been allowed to run rampant.

The DEA raided the facility. The stadium is falling apart and the fans that do come are from the visiting team.

I can go on if need be, but I think you get my point. What great coach is chomping at the bit to be the head coach of the Commanders and work under Dan Snyder?

I'm waiting from someone to answer that.

That is part of my point. You mentioned "coach"; I am talking about his GM decisions and front office direction. We can both admit these have both been sub-standard, ineffective, and at times absurd.

From a coaching perspective, you may or may not be right. I am talking about the front office and roster decisions. While we have the worst owner in sports, this does NOT absolve Rivera of the ridiculous decisions that have been and are being currently made. While I cannot say a "great coach" would want to come here, I can say that a better front office head/President/GM would come here. The mistakes that are being made are lapses in judgment and rookie GM errors.

I don't think we should say "well, we can't do any better so let's get on board with the nonsense". While we might not be able to secure a top-flight GM or coach, surely we can do better with an up-and-coming GM and coach instead of the madhouse we are experiencing now.
