Dude.

The narrative is clear. You keep saying this and you are wrong.

Kyrie isn’t wanted by Brooklyn. He opted in without communicating with the team and within hours the Nets put out a statement about how Kyrie would have to make changes to his approach to remain in Brooklyn.

It was immediately after the Nets made that anti-Kyrie statement and were clearly shopping Kyrie that KD made his trade request.

Even more, the speculation is that KD made that request in order to HELP Kyrie leverage a longer team deal with Brooklyn.

Because everyone knows the Nets can’t get fair compensation for KD and will be reluctant to trade him.

KD has also put out multiple comments publicly supporting Kyrie.

There is zero logical reason to believe KD doesn’t want to play with Kyrie anymore.
Zero?

Ok.

If the Lakers had offered a pick or both the picks.....it would have been a done deal.

The last I heard they did offer a pick, they just didn't offer both picks.

Last offer I heard was Westbrook, THT or Reaves and the 2027 pick.

"Then when Kyrie leaves Brooklyn can try to bring in another #2 to play with KD."

And I was addressing it won't be that easy to just bring in a #2 guy. There's something called a salary cap and they'd have KD and Simmons under contract with team options on Sharpe and Thomas.
This would be after this year. KD should see how this year goes, then he can demand a trade if he doesn't like things.

He started to figure it out late last year. Because they were so bad last year people overlooked a stretch they actually went 11 and 11 after the break as him and Bey started clicking.

Don't think he will be a 40 percent 3 pt shooter like he was in college but but he's a great free throw shooter and because of his size can get his shot easier than most on that list. Defensively he started coming on as well last year. His metrics are pretty good considering how shitty Detroit was. He will be a better defender than most on that list also.
Yeah, in my boredom this Summer , I looked at some of the Pistons games.

He's really good.

In a few years, you may very well have the best backcourt in the NBA.

Ja and Bane might have something to say about that.

But, you could definitely be in the conversation.

Valanciunas is one of the guys on my list. Towns isn't. AD is afraid to play in the paint. He will go in there every now and then but most of his stuff come on the perimeter. People also fail to look at the other end of things. These guys have to defend Chet as well. Outside of Embiid and AD, a lot of these centers will have a hard time guarding Chet
Zubac is a offensive foul waiting to happen.

He wouldn't be able to guard Chet in space.

Zero?

Ok.
Did you really post a story that says there is a " school of thought"?

If that were true, Kyrie would have been traded immediately.

You are allowing your desperation for Kyrie to warp your brain.

Trust McMenamin more than you.

Sorry.
This Dave with the Lakers logo?

Of course you trust him.

He keeps your delusional fantasy of Kyrie for Westbrook alive.

Could he be telling the truth?

Maybe.

But, it flies in the face of everything we know about Durant....and it's stupid.

Truth to tell, I'd have to see it to believe it...

if the silly rule that doesn't allow Simmons and Mitchell to be on the same team didn't exist, I think the Kyrie deal might already be done.

Brooklyn Nets stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving “know” a trade is unlikely and have accepted the reality that they may not be dealt anytime soon. “They know behind the scenes that it’s difficult, that it’s unlikely to happen,” a league source said, adding that “the Nets also knew that they’re going to make it so hard in the sense of the demands they’re looking for in return, no one’s going to meet that.

“That’s why there’s nobody commenting on it. [Durant and Irving] are never shy for words.” “I think initially they plotted [to leave],” the source added, “and then they realized very quickly that it wasn’t going to work.”
