Got it. GOT not my thing so guess wont partake.

Ironically, Breaking Bad sequel is what has kept me from Ozark. Finally got Better Call Saul. Finished season 5 and am almost caught up with 6.

I record it, too. I don't just FF through commercials. Seems every show they will have a 5-10 minute stretch where you just see someone walking around doing nothing.

what's it about?

There is a book called Fire and Blood by George RR Martin.

Its a history of the Targaryen dynasty.

Basically---- during GAme of Thrones you heard of "Valyrian Steel"......and saw Jorah and Tyrion sail through the ruins of Old Valyria at one point in Game of Thrones. Valyria was an extremely advanced civilization that conquered much of Essos. The Valyrian nobels consisted of about 40 families that consantly fought for control. They all have tons of dragons. At one point, the Targaryens- one of the 40 or so families- gave up- one of the members of houes Targaryen- Daenerys the Dreamer- saw a vision of the destruction of VAlyria. The Targaryens packed up their shit and left Valyria and moved to Dragonstone - where they stayed- never going to Westeros for a while. Valyria was destroyed in a huge cataclysm.- the only surviving family of Valyria is now the Targaryens- and are the only family with Dragons.

Finally- Aegon the Conqurer and his 2 sisters (the 3 heads of the Dragon)- invaded Westeros, conquered it, and started the Targaryen Dynasty.

Fire and Blood is a history/story of about the first half of the Targaryen rulers. Another book is supposed to come out to finish off the history.

As you know- in Game of Thrones- at the beginning there are no Dragons. One of the reasons why there were no Dragons- the main reason- is the Targaryen Civil War- called 'the Dance of the Dragons"- which is what the new show is about- the civil war. Not to spoil- but basically- one of the Kings has a daughter- his only child. He grooms her to become queen for years. His wife dies- and he re-marries when his daughter is already in her early 20's and has already had many of the houses swear fealty to her. With his new wife he has a bunch of kids - including sons.

The King dies---- many of the lords that swore fealty to the Princess fight for her---- many of the lords who think a man should be on the iron throne- fight for the Kings sons with his new wife.

Each side has dragons- and there are a LOT of dragon fights. Many of the dragons die. One of the main characters- Daemon- is the brother of the dead king- and he supports his niece. He is a bad ass.
