:suds::clap:

And both those instances came when he was employed by the so-called world class franchise Lakers.

Linda Rambis GM of the year!!! At least she’s better looking than Jeanie (insert Kurt joke here)…

I mean, he did get them a championship a few years ago. As a Lakers fan that's good enough for me.

It's also one more than championship than the combined 110 years both your teams have been in the league...

If that one player is a business hack before he's a basketball player

Laughingly untrue. Lebron has the strongest business portfolio in sports. The article is a year old, so he's most likely in an even better position now.

Due to this thread, it would be poetic justice if the Lakers jumped the Pacers in lottery.

Again, this one isn't on Lebron...this is on the Lakers organization and everyone not named Lebron. Don't worry the Cavs will get him back to the Promised Land soon

It would, but they don't own the pick. Pels have it if it stays top 10, otherwise it goes to the Grizz from the Valanciunas/Adams trade.

It's a little bit on Lebron. He could've pushed for the DeRozan trade (or the Hield trade) instead of the Westbrook trade. Ultimately that's on the GM though.

I would still be justice if it cost them the player they really wanted.

Haters gonna hate, especially jealous cats who's team's trophy cases only house cobwebs and dust bunnies...:D

I doubt either of Canes teams have trophy cases. No point in building something you're not going to use.

If I remember that stat right ..the Lakers were 11-10 when Lebron, Davis & Russ were on the floor.

There is a chemistry problem that goes far beyond the issues with injuries & Russ.

.

To be fair, it takes more than 21 games to develop any real chemistry. When Lebron went to Miami, he, D-Wade and Bosh were 8-9 seventeen games into their 1st season together and Spo was talking about guys crying in the locker room.

Had they had more games together, I think they would have figured something out and would be in a much better place than they are now.

I do not, however, believe that they would have figured it out enough to win a title. Russ just wasn't ever going to fit well enough.

Agreed. LeBron is as much to blame as everyone else in the organization...

It's LeBron who wanted these guys on the roster too...

Yeah, I get what folks are saying and ultimately, while he is arguably the most powerful player in the league, Lebron doesn't have the power to actually make a trade. So, in that respect, folks are right when they say it ultimately falls on the FO.

But, if anyone thinks their team wouldn't (or didn't) do the same thing if/when they had Lebron, they are lying to themselves.

I'm glad the Lakers told him it was his mess and he gets to stew in it. The only problem is that it may be too little too late. Getting things turned around to the point of being able to contend next year depends on moving Westbrook and there doesn't appear to be any interest in him around the league.

Cowherd had an interesting idea. Basically, it was trade Westbrook for what they can get and then trade AD for younger parts that fit Lebron better. Says that, along with some smart role player acquisitions could get them back to true contender status.

The problem is, we don't know what AD's trade value is and there will be no playoffs for him to get back some of whatever value may have been lost. Also, a healthy AD is a perfect complement to how Lebron plays. It would be hard to move past that.

It'll be interesting to see what happens in the off-season, but I'm preparing myself for them essentially punting next season by just changing out some of the 1 year guys, hoping to re-sign Monk and hoping Nunn actually plays.

If they do that, AD actually shows up in shape and stays relatively healthy, they could have a good team. Probably not a real contender, but a solid playoff team...then they are done with the Westbrook and Lebron contracts and should have a decent amount of cap space.

He's not our problem anymore.

But, I bet the 6ers fans will be over the moon.
I’m torn! If this results in a chance for Sam Cassell as a head coach…fuck yeah! Let’s go! But if Morey brings in D’Antoni for me to watch 5 out Harden on the eternal hamstring then fuck that noise. Have I mentioned how much I hate the prospect of D’Antoni Embiid partnership?

Yeah, this is pretty spot on.

The Pringle Guy has no use for a All NBA Center.
