Tom Vandergriff is my hero. As a kid I longed for a MLB team in the area since I started following baseball as a 5 year-old boy. Just before I turned 9, they announced that the Senators were moving here the next year. Even as a child I knew that Tom Vandergriff was responsible for that. I have been indebted to him ever since. It was a very sad day when he passed away a few years ago.

Back at the Ballpark, they went crazy one year and introduced a bunch of wacky new dishes, including the "Texas Snowball"... brisket inside a fried dough ball, topped with BBQ sauce and powdered sugar. Stood in line for 20 minutes to get it. Smaller portion than I expected, but very delicious.
