He was the Niners manager and then director of football research and development. Whatever the fuck that is. Not sure he had much of anything to do building the current team.

I guess we'll see.

I hope he cleans house, trades veterans with value, make cuts, and rebuild instead of patchwork.

I'd take Harbaugh in a heartbeat. Not many coaches could get their teams to NFC title games and a Superbowl over a couple seasons with Alex Smith and Collin Kaepernick as their QB's. If any coach might be able to put Cousins over the top and make him play fairly consistently like a title caliber QB to justify that mega contract, it'd probably be Harbaugh.

Also, let's just be real for a minute. If Harbaugh doesn't get the job (and apparently he actually wants it, based on everything I've heard), then the Vikings will probably hire the Giants DC. I don't know about you, but after enduring the Lezlie Frazier and Mike Zimmer eras consecutively, I'm ready for a shift away from having hardcore defensive minded coaches as the HC for awhile. Give me an offensive minded guy for HC who knows how to hire a decent DC to take care of the defense any day at this point. I'd honestly rather see them bring Chilly and his "kickass offense" bs back over enduring what would likely be repeats of the Frazier/Zimmer crap.

I guess I was wrong, and the entire Harbaugh thing was one giant clown act. Typical Vikings. So I admit that I was mistaken on that... as well as dissapointed.

Whatever, I guess I'll just hope they hire the Ram's OC guy now. I'm just over having a defense first HC after 12 years of this bs.
